CAR: Vulcan Spectre

TARGETS:

PARTS:

• Shock Absorber Rear - 100 USD
• Timing Belt V6 - 220 USD
• Serpentine Belt V6 - 140 USD
• Belt Tensioner - 150 USD
• Fuel Pump - 320 USD
• Oil change - 100 USD + cost of new oil ca. 10 USD

Your customer is taking part in a rally at the next weekend - therefore he asks you to check the condition of the suspension and the engine, to perform the chip tuning and to increase engine's power by at least 20%. Perform all necessary tests (OBD Test, Test Drive, Diagnostic Path Test) and turn on the Show parts conditions mode. After you did a bit longer analysis, you will see that following parts qualifies for change:

• Shock Absorber Rear
• Timing Belt V6
• Serpentine Belt V6
• Belt Tensioner
• Fuel Pump

Purchase all parts and start replacing them:

Shock absorber rear:

1. Use the Car Lifter and go to the car's rear with the Undercarriage - inspect option:
2. Remove Shock Absorber Rear located by the left wheel of the car and assemble a new part.

Fuel pump:

• Go to the Undercarriage - inspect view mode.
• Find Fuel Pump on Fuel Tank and remove it.
• Assemble new Fuel Pump.

Timing belt, serpentine belt, belt tensioner:

• Go to the Engine - inspect view mode when the car stands on the ground.
• Remove Serpentine Belt V6.
• Remove Belt Tensioner.
• Remove Timing Belt V6 and replace it with a new part.
• Assemble new Belt Tensioner.
• Assemble new Serpentine Belt V6.

Another step is the oil change:

1. Use the Car Lifter and go to the view of the engine from below with the Engine - inspect option.
2. Find Oil Pan V6 located on the bottom of the engine.
3. Find Oil Drain Plug, twist it off and flush the old oil.
4. Lower the car with the Car Lifter and go to the Engine - inspect view mode.
5. Remove Plastic engine Cover V6.
6. Twist off Engine Oil Fill Plug.
7. Click on the oil jerrycan and pour the oil to the engine for a few seconds.
8. Put out Oil Dipstick and check level of oil - point that connects gold and silver field should be as close to the scale's middle as possible.
9. Assemble Plastic engine Cover V6.

Chip tuning allows you to quickly acquire an additional charge of car's power.

The last task is to increase car's power by at least 20% - in that order perform the chip tuning. Go to the proper room with the Roller Dyno - tune car option and start the tuning application - Program Eeprom.
