Car Mechanic Simulator 2021: Rubber bushing - where to find? Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 guide, walkthrough
In this part of the Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 guide we explain where to find the rubber bushing
Last update: 05 September 2021
This chapter of our Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 guide will show you where to find parts called the rubber bushings. We advise on how to find rubber bushings, which are difficult to locate.
Small rubber bushings are one of the most common damaged parts you'll need to replace. They're part of the front and rear suspension, and are very easy to miss when replacing parts or assembling the car. Finding them is even more difficult due to the presence of very similar parts, such as small rubber bushings and the wheel bearing hubs.
Front suspension
Four bushings are located in the front suspension crossmember. They need to be replaced individually, each one separately.
The next four bushings are located in the lower suspension arms - two in the left one, two in the right one.
The suspension arm consists of three elements. You can replace the bushings after taking off the entire arm. You can only put it back on after selecting two necessary bushings.
It's worth to watch out for the wheel hub bearing, but it can't be missed when working with the wheels.
Rear suspension
In the rear, it's easy to miss four bushings individually attached to the rear suspension crossmember.
Two (left and right) rear suspension upper arms have a regular bushing and a small bushing each.
They can be seen when you're putting the arm together.
To reach the next bushing you need to disassembly the rear suspension arm on the bottom.
You'll gain access to the rear axle knuckle housing.
Remember that the suspension can vary based on the car's model. However, the bushings should be searched for in similar places. In case of an old car with leaf springs e.g. on the back you'll find ony two bushings on each side, without suspension arms or crossmembers.
