AC Odyssey: Your mission - how to create in Story Creator Mode? Assassin's Creed Odyssey Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 29 May 2020
On this page of our guide for the new mode available in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Story Creator Mode you will learn how to create your mission step by step. Remember that each mission must be planned first, thus avoiding confusion and possible mistakes.
Let's start from the very beginning. To start creating missions you need to click on the new quest. This option will allow you to create a new task and modify every aspect of it.
Your next task is to name the mission, create its brief description and determine the launch site. If you want this mission to be very popular with other players, come up with an interesting and conspicuous title that will attract an audience.
Let's move on to the next part of the mission. You have to choose how your task will start. It can begin with a conversation with the character, it can be activated after entering the area, or it should be activated immediately, without any player action.
If you want the quest to start with a conversation with the hero, you have to select it and create a conversation between the heroes. If you want to know how to create dialogues, please visit the How to create dialogues? page.
If you care about the area, simply mark the appropriate area on the map, and as soon as you get there, the mission will begin.
Your next task is to determine the objectives of the mission: killing someone, getting an item, going to a specified place, talking to someone, etc. Remember that a mission can have many goals, and each mission must have its own consequences.
Each objective must have several options of consequences that you have to predict and tag. If you want to create a quest where your hero has to kill one of the guards, set them as a target (objective):
- kill security guard - objective completed;
- hero dies - mission failed.
Remember that when the objective gets completed the player has to get another task to do, e.g. return to the client or kill another person. Always check whether the further objectives of each task are linked to each other.
The Story Creator Mode tool allows you to create decision making moments. Remember, however, that this significantly complicates the construction of a mission. If you want your character to have a choice, you need to create consequences for both behaviors and make them reconnected to the next mission objectives.
Whole task should be closed by clicking the story end option. Remember that you do not set any rewards. These depend on the level of players completing quests.
