Apex Legends' Trophies Essentials
- You can earn trophies on all platforms, for which Apex Legends was released. For the PC version, these are awarded within the Origin client. The list of available achievements is identical regardless of the chosen hardware platform.
- Unfortunately, Apex Legends does not offer any platinum trophies. There are 12 trophies to unlock and none of them is platinum. It is worth noting that the PC and Xbox One versions offer the possibility of earning 1000 Origin points and 1000 Gamerscore points respectively. At the time of preparing our trophy guide, the publisher did not have any plans to add new trophies within any subsequent updates extending the content of Apex Legends.
- Despite the rather modest number of achievements, completing the set of trophies in Apex Legends can be very time-consuming. Your performance in the game doesn't matter that much here. The main reason why it can require so much time is the lengthy grind. Unlocking all available achievements can take up to 70-80 hours.
Can I earn trophies in Apex Legends if I play for free?
Yes, you can get all the trophies in Apex Legends on PS4 without spending any real cash. You don't have to spend any money in the game shop. Furthermore, you don't need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to launch Apex Legends on your PlayStation 4.
It's the same for the PC version. You can download the game through the Origin client for free and play without any subscription (Origin Access Basic / Premier).
The only exception is the Xbox One version. While it also can be downloaded for free, and you can ignore the in-game store, a subscription to Xbox Live Gold is required to conduct online skirmishes on Xbox One.
The Player
Type of trophy: silver
How to unlock: Achieve the 50th level of experience.
Comments: The 50th level of experience is not the maximum in Apex Legends. The level cap in the game, at the time of writing this, is 100. You must still expect that progressing to the required, 50th level, will take a lot of time. If you do well in the game and perform numerous activities rewarded with a large amount of XP, then reaching the 50th level should occur around 50-70-hour mark. Otherwise, the grind for the fiftieth level can be extended and exceed the limit of 70-80 hours.
We recommend you have a look at the section titled How to gain new levels? elsewhere in our guide. Here's additional info and some tips on how to collect XP:
- Don't leave the game prematurely if the members of your team are still alive. If you decide to do that anyway, you will not receive any experience points for that match. XP is awarded if you remain in the session until the very end, even if your team eventually loses.
- In order to be promoted to the 50th level, you will need a total of just over 670,000 experience points. You will be promoted relatively quickly to the initial levels, although starting from level 26, each subsequent promotion requires as many as 18,000 experience points.
- Play with friends (if you can). You can get an extra bonus on received experience points - 5% to Survival Time XP for each friend in an active team.
- Even if you play with random people, try to perform actions within the group. You can be additionally rewarded for reviving another player from the team and for bringing him/her to the respawn (up to 200XP).
- Other good ways to earn XP are to stay on the battlefield as long as possible (the game gives you an XP bonus each minute); to finish in a leading position (900XP for first place, 500XP for second, 300XP for third place); to eliminate other players (standard 50XP plus various bonuses, with the biggest for the first kill of the day - as much as 500XP) and to kill the champions (Kill Champion - as much as 500 bonus XP).
Decked Out
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Wear the Legendary Helmet and the Legendary Body Armor at the same time.
Remarks: Both items must be placed in the same match. Legendary, are items of the fourth level. Of course, you must be lucky enough to find two specific legendary items in a single session, but you can increase your chances of finding them. Here are the strategies we recommend:
1) Check the Supply Ship that appears at the beginning of each game. You can try to land on it, although you must bear in mind that other players may also have the same intuition. The vessel transports higher grade equipment.
We discuss the issue of finding and landing on the ship in more detail in The best landing spots section of this guide. On the same page, we also show other locations that can be ransacked. Consider Hot Zone marked with a blue circle (example on the screen - the location is random). This ensures finding items of higher quality, but it's also easier to meet more enemies looking for loot here.
2) Eliminate a player with legendary equipment. If you meet a person using legendary equipment, it's worth taking the risk of attacking them to unlock this trophy.
3) Ask the teammates for the legendary helmet/armor. If you play with friends and someone has managed to get the legendary item you are looking for, you can ask to borrow it only for the sake of this achievement.
3) Check the Apex Packs you find. You may encounter them while exploring the map (example on the screen). Their unique feature is that they contain a higher quality loot. This increases the probability of finding a legendary object. This topic is discussed in more detail on a separate page of our guide, entitled How to get Apex packs.
4) Take advantage of the Care Package special ability of the Lifeline legend. A dropped supply capsule hides higher quality items by default. This is another way to increase your chances of finding the legendary items you are looking for.
Team Player
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Revive a team member.
Remarks: There is a good chance that you will achieve this in the regular course of the game since teamwork is vital if you want to be successful in Apex Legends. The subject of reviving fallen allies is described in detail in the section entitled How to revive players? elsewhere in our guide. As a reminder:
- In 90 seconds after the death of one of the heroes, you have to run up to them and get their flag. If you do not make it within 90 seconds, the team member will die irretrievably.
- With a flag, you have to go to a Respawn Point. These points are clearly visible on the map - marked with a green icon.
- Reviving an ally takes five seconds and you can't do anything else at the same time. So, you can be easily killed yourself.
Fully Kitted
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Use a fully kitted weapon.
Remarks: Fully equipped weapons are simply legendary weapons, i.e. weapons that are equipped with legendary (orange) components. When looking for a fully equipped weapon, you can rely on the same strategies that we have described in the breakdown of the Decked-Out trophy, i.e.:
- reach ships with supplies
- search the Hot Zone
- kill players in the hope that someone used legendary weapons
- ask team members to lend you legendary weapons
- check randomly found Apex packages
- Take advantage of the Care Package ability of the Lifeline legend
You can also find more information in The best weapons section of our guide.
Jumpmaster
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Become a jumpmaster 5 times.
Comments: You can achieve this by simply spending enough time with the game. The Jumpmaster is randomly selected from among the team members. You can find out more about the duties of the jumpmaster in the section called Round 1.
If you play on a team with friends, you can help each other to unlock the trophy faster. The game enables you to reject being the jumpmaster. Players from the team can, for example, resign from this function one by one so that each of them will be nominated within the same match. You can find out more about giving up the jumpmaster function from the section entitled How do I pass on the jumpmaster function? elsewhere in our guide.
Well Rounded
Type of trophy: silver
How to unlock: Deal 5000 points of damage playing 8 different legends.
Comments: This is an easy achievement that simply requires spending a certain amount of time with each of the eight legends in order to deal at least 5000 points of damage. You should get them easily while unlocking the Apex Legend trophy.
You can also keep track of your progress, which makes things more convenient. From the main menu, select Legends, Banners and Tracker and search for Damage Done.
Kill Leader
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Become a kill leader.
Comments: An important piece of information is that you can unlock this achievement only by becoming a leader. You don't have to be the leader at the end of the game. Take care of the remaining trophies and sooner or later you will receive an award for eliminating the largest number of players among the participants of the match.
In most cases, it is enough to kill 4 players in a given match to be distinguished. The game always displays a notification on the screen when you become the current murder leader, so you can't miss this moment.
Apex Offense
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Win the game with an offensive character.
Comments: The best way to get the trophy is to play with a legend such as Bangalore or Wraith (pictures above). The third offensive legend is Mirage, but it is initially unavailable and you would have to unlock it first. Take a look at Round 3 and 4 pages in our tutorial, where we have put together tips on how to win a match.
Apex Defense
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Win the game with a defensive character.
Comments: The best way to get the trophy is by playing Gibraltar (pictured above), as this character is available from the very beginning of the game. The second defensive legend is Caustic, but you can't choose it right away and you would have to unlock it first. Take a look at Round 3 and 4 pages in our tutorial, where we have put together tips on how to win a match.
Apex Support
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Win the game with a support character.
Comments: You can get this trophy by playing the legend Lifeline or Pathfinder (pictures above) and both of them are available from the beginning. Take a look at Round 3 and 4 pages in our tutorial, where we have put together tips on how to win a match.
Apex Recon
Type of trophy: bronze
How to unlock: Win the game playing a scout.
Remarks: You can only get this trophy with the legend Bloodhound (picture above), which is available from the very beginning of the game. Take a look at Round 3 and 4 pages in our tutorial, where we have put together tips on how to win a match.
Apex Legend
Type of trophy: gold
How to unlock: Win the game with 8 different legends.
Comments: We recommend that you first complete the achievements of Apex Offensive, Apex Defensive, Apex Support, and Apex Scouting as described above. Obtaining them will allow you to meet the requirements for 4 out of 8 legends. From now on, choose only those legends that you haven't won a match with yet. Leave the legends of Caustic and Mirage, which must be unlocked first, for the very end.
