System requirements of World War Z World War Z guide, tips
Last update: 08 May 2019
World War Z is characterized by good graphics and at the same time has decent system requirements - this will please players with moderate, rather than high-end PCs. If any problems with the game appear, one can adjust a number of graphics options that should not affect the visual experience too significantly and should provide a decent boost to frames.
Minimum requirements
To be able to experience fluent gameplay in 1080p with all settings set to medium, or in 720p with all settings set on max, you will need at least the following configuration:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64bit)
- CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 (3.3 GHz) / AMD A10-5700 (3.4 GHz)
- RAM: 8 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 650 Ti / AMD Radeon HD 5870 (2GB)
- HDD: 35 GB
Note - loading screens appear quite often in this game, which is why installing the game on an SSD drive is recommended. This is also due to the fact that you will be constantly dealing with dozens of enemies at the same time - the game tends to drop FPS when that happens, which is what an SSD drive should limit.

Our configuration
The following guide was created based on the PC version of the game and the game was played on the following PC:
- OS: Windows 10 (64bit)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 (3.2 GHz)
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: GeForce GTX 970 (4GB)
- HDD: the game was installed on an SSD
Notes: the game was working flawlessly in 60 frames per second, in 1080p, with the highest settings. There were some rare cases in which the game dropped frames (for instance during a huge explosion), but they had no impact on the overall gameplay.
