Does World War Z offer cross-play? World War Z guide, tips
Last update: 08 May 2019
Some of the new players - or those planning to purchase the title - may wonder if World War Z has the cross-play option - and if it does, how it can be used. Cross-play is an option that allows players to play together on different platforms - in this case PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. This is a increasingly popular function in online titles among players - they can use it to play with their friends or to test out which platform they will like to play on the best. Unfortunately, the developers are not planning such functionality for World War Z.
Before starting your adventure with the game you need to decide on which platform you want to play. As the game relies heavily on character progress, it will be difficult to switch to another platform after investing dozens of hours into the game, after learning that your friends are playing on a different system. World War Z does not have a demo version, making the lack of cross-play function even more problematic.
Note - besides the lack of cross-play function, the game does not allow players to share accounts between various platforms. You will not be able to transfer your progress from the PC version over to a console and vice versa. It is worth thinking about it before you decide to devote your time and invest dozens of hours into developing your account.
