This page of the guide to Weird West contains all the relevant information about exploration.
The passage of time
Weird West features a day and night cycle, which is important since some quests come with time limits. Additionally, the vast majority of NPCs sleep at night, preventing you from shopping.
Weird West lets you change the time of day - if you arrive to a town at night simply enter the main menu. Select the "Loiter" option to skip the night and change the time to morning.
Map and fast travel
Travelling on foot in Weird West can take several hours or even several days. You can cut your travel time by saving up around 280$ and buying a horse.
You'll learn how to get a horse in Weird West on a separate page: Horse - how to get?.
Gathering items
You'll find many different items throughout the game - weapons, ammo, crafting materials or just plain rubbish, which means your inventory can get filled up very quickly. Junk can stack up to five items in a single slot and can't be used for anything - sell your junk each time you visit a trader.
You'll learn whether it's possible to expand your inventory inWeird West on a separate page: Inventory - can you expand?.
Stealing
When exploring prohibited areas, such as certain houses or guarded warehouses, you may be caught stealing when trying to loot the location. Weird West lets you pickpocket sleeping or unconsious NPCs if you sneak up on them.
Make sure no one's watching before you rob someone.
Hidden locations
Some places on the map hide hatches leading to underground tunnels where you can find valuable loot, including Nimph Relics and Golden Aces of Spades. Some hidden passages have more than one entrance, for example - a building guarded by a group of enemies or a well.
