The dark world of the Warhammer 40k universe is full of arranged marriages and political plots. While playing Rogue Trader, you'll have the opportunity to romance some of your companions. Here is the list of the game's love interests.

How to start a romance?

When visiting planets and stations, you can take only 5 companions with you, but you can always meet with all your companions on your ship. New dialogue options with companions will be unlocked after completing main and side quests, and they may initiate a romance.

So, if you want to start a romance with a companion, check if they have something new to say after completing any main quest. We also recommend saving the game so you don't choose the wrong dialogue option during the conversation. When you start a romantic relationship with one of your companions, you'll unlock intimate scenes.

Can you romance multiple companions at the same time?

Yes, in Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader, it's possible to romance all your companions simultaneously, as they won't pay attention to your other relationships. The only limitation you may encounter is the gender of your character. Some companions will only want to enter into a romantic relationship with the opposite gender.

Cassia Orsellio romance

Cassi's extraordinary powers stem from her mutated Navigator origin. She carries many traits of aristocracy, and therefore, has the ability to lead and inspire companions. Cassia only wants to romance male characters.

How to start the romance: in chapter 2, you will be given the option to send the birds to Cassia's room, when you do this, you'll unlock new dialogue options with her. During the conversation, choose:

1. Your third eye, do you always conceal it?
2. You are beatuful, Cassia. Do not let anyone or anything convince you othetwise.
3. I would not dare to make fun a lady's feelings, especially not one who has caprivated me since I first set eyes on her.
4. Why don't we talk about something else?
5. Let's talk about us, shall we?

Heinrix Van Calox romance

Heinrix Van Calox is a living weapon of the Inquisition, possessing powerful psychic powers. Romance with Heinrix is only possible if your character is female.

1. Archetype: Warrior
2. Origin: Holy Inqusition

How to start a romance: A romance with Heinrix can start in Chapter 1. Visit your ship after completing a quest and check if you have unlocked new dialogue options. After you defeat Chaos Marine Aurora, you will have your first private conversation with him. After this event, Heinrix will leave your party, but he will return during the main quests on Footfall. Then choose the following dialogue options:

1. [Give him a dazzling smile] Master van Calox! I knew you could not resist my charms!
2. [Step closer and lower your voice] I am ever so glad to have you back.

After the events at Kiava Gamma, head back to the ship and select these dialogue options:

1. Are you satisfied with the results of your mission on Kiava Gamma?
2. What are you going to do next?
3. I think that will be all for now.
4. It would be a pleasure. Why don't we go to my study?

While staying with Heinrix in private quarters, inquire about personal matters that will eventually lead to intimate scenes.

Jae Heydari romance

Jae Heydari is a cunning Officer who always finds a way to convince others to her point of view. Jae is willing to romance both men and women.

1. Archetype: Officer
2. Origin: Cold Trader

How to start a romance: Jae can only join your party in Chapter 2. After talking to Jae on your ship, the woman will present you with a gift, which will then unlock the side quest A Gift for Jae Heydari. Ask every companion and crew member on the ship about the gift for Jae. Next, talk to High Factotum Janris Danrok and choose the dialogue option:

1. I will gift Jae a small colony.

After that, Jae will propose a private conversation, which will result in an intimate scene.

Yrliet Lanaevyss romance

Yrliet spent many millennia perfecting her skill of dealing death from a great distance. Yrliet will be happy to enter into a romantic relationship with a woman or a man.

1. Archetype: Operative
2. Origin: Aeldari Ranger

How to start a romance: Yrliet will join you in Chapter 2. The woman doesn't put up with attempts to flirt and dislikes being interrupted during her meditation. A relationship with her requires patience and talking with her a lot. To gain Yrliet's trust, you must complete the Aeldari in Distress quest. Select the specified dialogue options when talking to Yrliet during this mission.

1. My people have behaved contemptibly, and I apologise for it.
2. I shall speak to my subjects. You will not be bothered again.

During the next conversation, choose:

1. You have my complete attention.
2. [Close your eyes, empty your mind, and speak the word] Li-lae-than...
3. I think I'm beginning to understand.
4. Thank you for telling me how you see the world.
5. I also see something greater in the world around me, something deeper than the outer guise of things.
6. I see the suffering of those around me, and it compels me to act.
7. To me you are a foreign yet beguiling world, Yrliet. I hope that one day I will come to know you. And on that day, my own world will become much deeper.

You can only start a romance with Yrliet in chapter 3.

Marazhai Aezyrraesh romance

This depraved follower of Slaanesh has basically no rules. This also includes his sexual preferences, so Marazhai does't care about what gender you character is.

1. Archetype: Warrior
2. Origin: Drukhari (Dark Eldar)

How to start a romance: Marazhai likes to flirt, so it will be easy to bond with him once he joins your party in Chapter 3. After starting the Suspicious Absence quest, you need to put in a good word for him during the conversation with the other companions. Then select the dialog options:

1. What do you need?
2. Very well. Should we encounter Yremeryss at any point, I shall allow you to deal the final blow.
3. [Look at what the plate was covering]
4. Your armour is held on with hooks tat dig into your body?

After starting the Soulless quest, find Marazhai and when talking to him, select following dialogue options:

1. Marazhai! Behind you!

After winning the battle and having further conversations with Marazhai, you finally unlock a romance with this companion.
