Residents and hints in Docks Vampyr Guide and Walkthrough

This chapter of the guide to Vampyr is a list of all the inhabitants of the Docks. You will learn the characters' locations and the ways of obtaining all hints about them.
Note that we're still completing the lists of hints about the inhabitants of London. These will be updated regularly as we're working on the guide, but if you find something that we're missing - don't be shy to share it in the comments!

Sabrina Cavendish is a barmaid in the Turquoise Tortoise pub. The level of hypnotism is 3. | |
Hint #1 | Sabina hides her feelings towards her boss, Tom Watts. Near the pub you will find a letter in the rubbish bin. Read it and you will find out about the feelings of the woman. |
Hint #2 | Sabrina thinks it's not safe in the docks. Talk to the woman during Chapter 3 of the game and ask her about the condition of the district. |
Hint #3 | Tom Watts teaches Sabrina how to defend herself with a pistol. You have to see a scene in a pub, where Tom teaches Sabrina how to shoot. |
Hint #4 | Sabrina was once molested by a customer. Ask the woman about her weapon and shooting lessons and tell her that weapons are dangerous. |
Tom Watts
Tom Watts is a bartender who can be found in the Turquoise Turtle pub. His level of hypnotism is 3. | |
Hint #1 | Tom and William Bishop used to be good friends. To unlock this tip, you need to talk to Sabrina Cavendish when you return from a conversation with Dr. Edgor Swansea. |
Hint #2 | Tom was imprisoned for attempted murder. Read the newspaper at the top of the magazine - where you obtained alcohol for Watts. |
Hint #3 | Tom claims to have abandoned his criminal life. Talking to the man about his dark past. |
Hint #4 | Tom prefers to avoid the authorities. You'll learn this when you hand him over the goods from the warehouse. |
Hint #5 | Tom Watts teaches Sabrina how to defend herself with a pistol. You have to see a scene in a pub, where Tom teaches Sabrina how to shoot. |
Dyson Delaney
Dyson Delaney is a frequenter of the Turquoise Turtle Pub. You will find him in the docks where he is usually drunk. The level of hypnotism is 1. | |
Hint #1 | Dyson used to be a committed, radical anarchist. When you return to the pub in chapter 3, you can ask Dyson about his past. |
Hint #2 | Sean Hampton saved Dyson when he, completely drunk, ended up in a canal. Read a curled sheet of paper, placed in the cabinet, in the main room of the Sean Hampton shelter. |
Hint #3 | Dyson is responsible for the bomb attack that killed random people. Carry out the man's mission and you'll find out about it. |
Hint #4 | Failure to obtain the hint. Ask Dyson whether he feels guilty about the explosion. The answer "You made a terrible mistake" blocks access to this hint. |
Sean Hampton
Sean Hampton is a spiritual person who runs a night shelter for people in Docks. It's a pillar of the district - you'll find it in your asylum. His level of hypnotism is 6. | |
Hint #1 | As a child, Sean was molested by a priest. Talk with Ichabod Throgmorton about the priest and you will unlock this hint. |
Hint #2 | As a child, Sean was abandoned to a catholic orphanage. Talk with Tom Watts about Sean Hampton. |
Booth Digby
Booth Digby is a gang member. You will find him in the Docks, near the pub from the beginning of the game. His hypnotism level is 4. | |
Hint #1 | Booth have already tried to find a job to quit being a member of the gang. Find a letter, in a house, near the entrance to the docks (from the side of Pembroke Hospital, near the entrance gate). |
Hint #2 | Booth probably loves Edwina Cox, but she is the real leader of the gang. Ask about the situation in the city. |
Hint #3 | Edwina and Booth Digby have recently killed somebody due to revenge. Talk with Edwina - she will tell you about it in person. |
Hint #4 | Booth believes in paranormal phenomena and activities. You will find about it while completing the "Cemetery ghouls" task. |
Edwina Cox
Edwina Cox is a leader of the gang. She is a merchant in the Docks. You will find her near Booth Digby. Her hypnotism level is 5. | |
Hint #1 | Booth may love Edwina Cox, but she is the real leader of the gang. Ask Booth Digby about the situation in the city. |
Hint #2 | Unsuccessful attempt of getting the hint. If you ask woman about Booth Digby (I sense a soft heart), you will block the possibility of getting the hint. |
Hint #3 | Edwina and Booth Digby have recently killed somebody due to revenge. Talk with Edwina - she will tell you about it in person. |
Hint #4 | Edwina doesn't believe in leadership skills of Booth Digby. She thinks he is too superstitious. Complete the woman's assignment and ask her about Booth's superstitions. |
Seymour Fishburn
Seymour Fishburn is another resident of Docks. He resides close to Edwina and Booth. His hypnotism level is 3. | |
Hint #1 | Seymour is a serial killer. Return the necklace to him while making the task. |
Hint #2 | It looks like his mother succeeded to suppress aggression in him. Ask him about rage. |
Hint #3 | Seymour is jealous of the attention his mother pays to Rufus Kingberry. You have to watch the scene through the window when Stella and Seymour quarrel at home. |
Stella Fishburn
Stella Fishburn is a woman that lives alone in the Docks. You will find her near Seymour Fishburn. Hypnotism level of this woman equals 2. | |
Hint #1 | Stella is like a mother for Rufus Kingsberry. Ask Rufus if he has anyone close and tell him that everything that happened to him is quite tragic. |
Hint #2 | It looks like Stella may decrease the aggression of Seymour. Complete Seymour's task and ask about his rage. |
Hint #3 | Failed attempt of getting a hint. Ask Seymour about the protection and silence of his mother. The answer that "Death is not the right answer" is wrong and will block the hint. |
Hint #4 | Attention that Stella devotes to Rufus only adds to the envy of her son, Seymour. You have to watch the scene through the window as Stella and Seymour quarrel at home. |
Rufus Kingsberry
Rufus Kingsberry is a resident of Docks. You will find him near the Turquoise Turtle Pub. His hypnotism level is 2. | |
Hint #1 | Stella is like a mother for Rufus Kingsberry. Ask Rufus if he has anyone close and tell him that everything that happened to him is quite tragic. |
Hint #2 | His only friend is a rat. You need to run the vampire's vision mode and see how Rufus gently strokes his rat. |
Hint #3 | Rufus parent died when he was still a child. Ask Rufus about his rat. |
Hint #4 | Rufus is concerned about the behaviour of Seymour Fishburn. After listening to the conversation at the Fishburn home, ask Rufus what he thinks about Seymour. |
Enid Gillingham
Enid Gillingham is an old lady who lives alone in the northern part of the Docks. Her hypnotism level is 1. | |
Hint #1 | Enid Gillingham sometimes thinks that Martin is his son - Jack. Talk with Martin to get this info. |
Hint #2 | Enid is feeling guilty about her son Jack. Buy a box from Martin (it's in stock), open it and read the letter. |
Hint #3 | Son of Enid, Jack was murdered. Read the blood-stained letter during the "Subsequent corpse" investigation. |
Hint #4 | Martin Nightingale uses the weak memory of Enid for his own purposes. Enter the building next to Enid's house, and watch from above, through a hole in the boards, the scene of Martin's and Enid's conversation. |
Martin Nightingale
Martin Nightingale is a merchant in the northern part of the Docks. His hypnotism level is 3. | |
Hint #1 | Martin preferred to become a merchant instead of becoming a gangster and a gang member. Tell him that the offerings at his store are quite poor. |
Hint #2 | Enid Gillingham sometimes thinks that Martin is his son - Jack. Talk with him to get this info. |
Hint #3 | Martin Nightingale uses the weak memory of Enid for his own purposes. Enter the building next to Enid's house, and watch from above, through a hole in the boards, the scene of Martin's and Enid's conversation. |
Hint #4 | Martin has abandoned his parents suffering from Spanish flu. Ask the man about Enid Gillinham's deceit and say that his selfishness is fascinating. |
Ichabod Throgmorton
Ichabod Throgmorton is a man who sees himself as a pro vampire hunter. You will meet him in the northern part of the Docks. His hypnotism level is 4. | |
Hint #1 | Ichabod thinks of himself as a guardian of Sean's asylum. Talk with him about the district to get this information. |
Hint #2 | Ichabod believes that Jack Gillingham was killed by a vampire. Complete the task with posters for Ichabod. |
Hint #3 | Priwen Guards doesn't think of Ichabod as a real vampire hunter. You must read the letter that you will find in the case of the hunter's corpse. To find the letter, open the map and go exactly over the letter S, in the name "West Docks". |
Hint #4 | Ichabod showed mercy to the only vampire he met. Ask him about the alleged fraud and tell him to stop fooling yourself. |
Rodney Grader
Rodney Grader is a missing man who you can find in the sewers of the city. His level of hypnotism is 3. | |
Hint #1 | Rodney disappeared after killing a member of the gang. Read a letter in the house of Enid Gillingham. |
Hint #2 | Rodney didn't want to commit a crime. Talk with Rodney about the murder and tell him that he is not a cold blooded killer. |
Hint #3 | Rodney is fatally afraid of the revenge from the gang. After he gets back to the Docks, chat with him about the district. |
Hint #4 | Rodney is a good friend of Enid Gillingham's son. Ask him about local people. |
Hint #5 | Unsuccessful attempt of getting the hint. Ask Rodney about Jack. Answer "Take responsibility and stop hiding" will block this hint. |
Giselle Paxton
Giselle Paxton is a woman who works at the Sean Hampton shelter. The level of enchantment is 2. | |
Hint #1 | Giselle has lost the money of the trade union. Talk with her about a trade union. |
Hint #2 | Giselle made friends with son of Enid Gillingham. Find and give back woman's money and you'll find out that she's planning to spend money to support Enid. |
Hint #3 | Giselle Paton's loss of a job is a common reason for her quarrels with her sister, Lottie. Go to Sean, switch to vampire mode, and enjoy a suspicious conversation between the two sisters. |
Hint #4 | Since their mother died, Lottie and Giselle Paxton have been living on the street. Read the letter that you will find on the table, not far from the patient's bed. |
Lottie Paxton
Lottie Paxton is a sister of Giselle, who also works in the shelter. Her hypnotism level is 2. | |
Hint #1 | Lottie often helps Sean Hampton in his asylum. Eavesdrop the conversation of Lottie and Giselle. |
Hint #2 | Despite the threats from Wet Boots Boys Lottie have never helped them. Read the burned letter - you will find it in the waste bin (in the Seana shleter), not far from the stairs leading to the first floor. |
Hint #3 | Since their mother died, Lottie and Giselle Paxton have been living on the street. Read the letter that you will find on the table, not far from the patient's bed. |
Archer Woodbead
Archer Woodbead. He is a Skal prisoner who you have the opportunity to release during the "Old Man and Manners" assignment. Its level of hypnotism is 3. | |
Hint #1 | Archer was the leader of Wet Boots Boys in the times it was a respected gang. |
Hint #2 | Archer hasn't heard from his son since he had joined Priwen Guards. |
Hint #3 | Archer blames the Priwen Guards for the fact that his son was killed. You will find out all the hints about the man when you simply talk to him and ask him about his past. |
