Decision regarding Dr. Edgar Swansea in Vampyr
Table of Contents
Dr. Edgar Swansea is a pillar of the Pembroke Hospital district. During Chapter 5 and the "Science without conscience" mission, you will find him mortally wounded in the theater. You can then decide what to do with Swansea. You can choose from three options:
- Let him die - Jonathan will look at how Dr. Swansea dies. A cut-scene awaits you, in which the man will mention your moments together. After that the doctor will die. This decreases health status of Pembroke Hospital.
- Turn him - this is an interesting choice. You save Edgar, though he'll be turned into a vampire. The man re-appears in the hospital the next night, and the district's health will be reduced. On the other hand, you condemn your friend to the fate of a vampire and eternity devoted to dilemmas. This decision does not block the good ending - you let Edgar to drink your blood instead of digging your fangs into his neck. You must spend 3,000 XP on this choice.
- Suck blood - Jonathan will dig his fangs into Edgar's neck and suck his blood. Swansea will die right away (you gain additional XP). The next night, Pembroke Hospital's health will decrease.
