Last update: 10 May 2024
The difficulty level in V Rising may vary significantly depending on whether you have previously played any survival games and the selected mode (single- or multiplayer). If at some point you decide that the current challenge level does not satisfy you, there are several ways to adjust it. On this page, we present all the most important information related to the difficulty levels in V Rising.
What are the available difficulty levels?
When creating a new world in V Rising, you will be asked to select the appropriate difficulty level. The modes available at the start are:
- Relaxed - offers less demanding battles with opponents and recommended for players who prefer building and exploration;
- Normal - balances all core aspects of the game;
- Brutal - high difficulty level characterized by challenging combat.
Additionally, by clicking "Advanced Game Settings" you will be able to adjust certain aspects of the game to your needs. Among the options that influence the difficulty of the game, the most important ones are:
- Enable or disable PvP in multiplayer;
- Option to disable equipment restrictions during teleportation;
- Option to equip the player with starting equipment and resources.
It is also worth noting that after generating a new world, many similar parameters can be personalized via the command console available in the game. More information can be found on the How to use codes page.
You will have full control over the difficulty level and related settings in single-player mode and as the host of a private world. When joining a public server, however, you should expect that these options may be imposed by administrators.
How to change the difficulty level?
If you want to change the difficulty level during the game, open the menu by pressing the ESC key and select the "Change Difficulty" option. Select the preset you are interested in and then press "Confirm". Before the changes take effect, you will have to go to the main menu and reload the save.
