How to get EMP in V Rising
EMP is a new key item that disables any electronic devices. In order to get it, several conditions have to be met.
First, you will have to get an EMP recipe that is obtained after extracting V-Blood from a new boss – Voltatia the Power Master about which you can learn more here. With the recipe in your hand, EMP can be crafted in a newly added refinement station called Fabricator. To unlock it, another enemy has to be defeated – Ziva the Engineer. More about it here.
With all those conditions met, you can finally create the EMP. One craft attempt will produce 5 EMP devices and uses the following resources:
- 4x Power Core
- 12x Iron Ingot
What is EMP used for in V Rising
Using EMP is very simple. You have to select it from your inventory and place it on the ground in a close proximity to any electronic device that you want to have disabled. Then, hitting the EMP with a ranged spell will cause it to explode turning off all the electronics in a certain range.
The EMP usage is very specific. Its main purpose is to gain access to the endgame boss – Adam, the Firstborn. This enemy can be found in a Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle located in Gloomrot North region.
Adam is level 83 boss and he’s the ultimate challenge of Secrets of Gloomrot update. Get everything you can to be prepared for this adversary. Defeating the opponent and extracting its V-Blood will award you with storm ability called “Eye of the storm”.
Adam the Firstborn replaced the previous final boss of the game, Solarus the Immaculate, who no longer drops “Solarus Soulshard”. Instead, Adam leaves behind the Soulshard of the Monster. It is a useful item, which can be planted in player’s territory for a powerful, 2-hour buff granting:
- +50 sun resistance
- +10 physical power
- +5% to melee attack speed
