Solution to the puzzle with Shiva's statue | Walkthrough Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Guide

This page provides a solution to the puzzle in the chamber with a gigantic statue of Shiva. You encounter it in the seventh chapter of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The aim of the puzzle is to make water flow in several spots and apart from solving it, it is also a good idea to take a look around the chamber to find collectibles.

Preliminary exploration of the chamber

Right after you enter the chamber with a large Shiva statue, stand right in front of it. Find the camera icon representing another photo opportunity location (6/7).

The photo is not the only collectible around. At the "ground floor" of the area, there also are three treasures. The most difficult to find is the first treasure (10/16 - Bronze Medallion Flask), because it is underwater, behind one of the rocks and to find it, you have to explore the flooded part of the large chamber to find it (the above screenshot). The second treasure (11/16 -Bichwa Dagger) is at the very foot of the statue. The last treasure (12/16 -Jadeite Bottle) can be found in the are to the right of the statue - the dark corner.

Only after you have carefully explored the entire bottom level, check out the area to the left of the statue and find ledges shown in the above screenshot. This way, you will reach the left balcony.

Here, take interest in the area to the right and find ledges that you can climb over. Thanks to this, you will reach a cache with treasure (13/16 - Harappan Ivory Dice).

After you have obtained that collectible, return down and take the stairs. Then, climb up the wall into the ruins up above. Here, take interest in the rotary mechanism shown in the above screenshot to the left of Shiva statue. Interacting with it will move one of the stone hands.

Do not jump onto the hand just yet, approach Nadine and wait for the conversation icon to appear over her head. Interact with her to have another optional conversation (2/3).

Reach the mechanism to the left of Shiva's head

Jump onto the hand that has just moved. Remain here and take interest in the other hand, shown in the above screenshot. Jump towards the ledge to grab onto it and climb up the hand. After you do that, take a long jump into a new part of the ruins.

After the jump, do not pull up and lower yourself instead. You have to reach a balcony down below and explore it to find treasure (14/16 - Ivory Chess Pieces).

Go back up and check out the new part of the ruins. Reach the very end of this part (you will have to climb up another ledge), to find treasure (15/16 -Gold Chola Earrings).

On your way to this treasure, you have probably noticed a rotary mechanism. Go there and interact with it to bring higher the hand with the trident- the above screenshot. Quickly take a look around for ledges to climb higher. After you do that, jump towards the trident and climb up.

The statue's upper hand will soon return to its previous position, but this will change nothing, because you will be climbing up the trident in the vertical direction (it consists of many elements that you can grab onto).

You have to reach the very top of the trident and use hook and rope to reach the ledge to the left of Shiva's head shown in the above screenshot. There is a mechanism controlling the waterfall there. Interact with it to see a cutscene and jump into the aqueduct to get down.

Reach the mechanism to the right of Shiva's head

After you have come down, you will return to the area with Shiva's lower hands. This time, go towards the part of the ruins you have not yet explored, to the right of the statue. To get there, you have to jump towards small rocks sticking out from the wall and climb up.

Start by exploring this part. Go right, as far as you can, find the spot where you can jump down and find the last treasure (16/16 - Bridal Maang Tikka), shown in the above screenshot

Return to Shiva's statue. In the ruins on the right, there are two rotary mechanisms, but turn your attention to the one shown in the above screenshot, closer to the two new hands. Interact with the mechanism to lower the hand holding a large bell.

Return quickly onto the lowest hand and, only after you have gotten there, jump to the bell to grab onto it.

Climb up. Just like in the case of the hand with the trident, this one will soon return to its initial position, but this is not a problem. After it stops moving, jump towards the ledges shown in the above screenshot and climb up onto the ledge with the second mechanism. Interact with it to activate the second waterfall.

Make it to the location with prisms

You can leave this location only after you have reached the mechanisms on both sides of Shiva's head (the order is up to you). As a result of that, passages near them will open. Take one of them, and climb up the stairs to reach the top mechanism shown in the above screenshot.

Swing on the rope and jump into the area with prisms

Interacting with this mechanism will start a cutscene and a cage with a hook will appear under the ceiling. Grapple it and, after you swing, jump towards the ledges at the other end of the chamber. In this area, there is a puzzle with prisms which has been described on the next page.
