4 - Ganesha's Fort (Trident) | Walkthrough Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Guide
Last update: 25 August 2017
This section contains a walkthrough for Ganesha's fortress - a section in Uncharted: Lost Legacy. The area is visited while exploring Western Ghats (the second chapter in game) and is a pre-requisite of getting access to Halebid (along with Parashurama and Shiva's fortresses that are described in detail on dedicated pages of this guide)
Ganesha's fortress is located in the south eastern part of the map. It's exact location can be determined by checking all vantage points on the tower or by looking at our map found on the first page of this chapter. Stray from moving to the icon in a straight line, as you need to turn east and approach the area from that direction. Access the fort from the northern side and locate the entrance, shown on the screenshot above and located next to a large river next to a parked truck.
Start your approach by zooming the trident above the entrance (this will unlock an optional conversation with Nadine). The door itself is already unlocked and doesn't require any additional actions (in opposition to two previous forts).
The large courtyard beyond the door is guarded by a large group of opponents. I recommend staying undetected, as a major firefight can work to your disadvantage (you may be unexpectedly surrounded by the mercenaries). Make use of the overall size and the ample vegetation found around the area and eliminate your opponents one by one by utilizing your melee attacks or a silenced pistol. You can also climb one of the towers and tackle the opponents below or avoid patrols by moving above them.
Watch out for the opponents guarding the highest vantage points, including the one shown on the screenshot above. If you've begun a firefight, avoid firing at everyone and make successive retreats to disappear from the opponents' field of view in order to begin the approach anew.
If you've managed to clear the area from guards, travel to the opposite end of the courtyard and investigate the locked passageway which will be your next objective. To unlock the way forward, you have to find five interactive plates. Some plates are found on the ground, while other ones were placed on the walls such as the one shown on the screenshot above. Locating all five shouldn't be a problem, as the search will be joined by Nadine (in our case, she managed to activate two)
Return to the locked pathway. This time, interact with the large device on the wall to raise the stone.
The newly unlocked pathway ends with stairs leading to a new riddle involving rotating sections (you can view the complete symbol on the screenshot above). Begin by setting up the smallest, inner section (active section is changed by pressing x). Then, you need to adjust the medium and the second inner section to correspond with the outermost section (the biggest one). Once the mechanism is activated, use the corkscrew to unlock the waterfall (two times, as one of the levers will break).
A cut-scene will begin showing up the unlocked waterfall (in all, you'll need to unlock three waterfalls).
Your way back to the car will be interrupted by new opponents which were alarmed by the disappearance of the previous group which you've took care during your approach.
Use the same approach as in the previous case - use the lush vegetation to hide and climb to the towers to avoid being detected. Moreover, you can simply skip all the opponents and rush back to the exit. You can now travel to Halebid, but do so only if you've cleared all three forts and took care of all opotional task (provided you engage in these).
