The fight with Rogue Process, the last boss will takes place in a special arena, which you will find in The Nucleus - Rogue Processs | Boss in The Surge - Bosses - The Surge Game Guide

The fight with Rogue Process, the last boss will takes place in a special arena, which you will find in The Nucleus. In order to reach the arena you have to perform some minor tasks, which are described in our walkthrough related to this location. Remember that if you manage to kill a boss in the right way, you can get a special weapon - Claws of the Gestalt.

Before the fight

The first phase of the duel is slow from your point of view and you will not be able to attack your opponent freely, so it is best to invest in an implant that will allow you to consume a small amount of energy to increase the damage. Treatment implants are also important. You can equip yourself with a Vital Injection, but rather you will use it only in the second phase of the duel with the boss.

Try to choose a light armour with at least medium stability. Get rid of the implants that allow you to see your opponent's HP bar and mark the treasures that you are bypassing. Try to increase passive resources of vitality and energy recovery.

The Final Battle - Stage 1

The fight will start as soon as you overload the only circuit in the arena. After a while your opponent will form into embodied character. In this form your opponent is not too fast, but you can't stay too far away from the boss, because his attacks have quite a long range.

Most blows will deal you solid damage, but they won't kill you. This does not apply to attack from the air. Not only does it take damage from above, the boss will change shape, dealing additional damage. If you stand in a place where the boss will fall, you will surely die.

Try to hit with single blows, keeping an eye on every movement of your opponent. If you manage to reduce his vitality to 10-15%, he will become insensitive to attacks. Run up to the circuit you have overloaded and do it again as soon as possible.

You will be pushed backwards and the second phase of the battle will start.

The Final Battle - Stage 2

After using the circuit, the opponent will take the human form. Now it will be much faster, and its HP bar has been renewed. The fight against the boss is based on similar principles as with Black Cerber. Remember that you can carry out an execution on the boss.

Note that most of your opponent's attacks are combined with missiles which he sends at your direction. Because of this, try to avoid these projectiles but only sideways. If you jump back, despite the fact that you avoid a blow, you will still be hit by the accompanying missiles.

Rewards

If you execute a boss that will lead to cutting off his arms, you will receive a Claws of the Gestalt weapon. Otherwise, killing the boss is rewarded with Mimetic Edge weapon. Besides, you will get 20 thousand pieces of scrap metal when starting a new game.

After a while, the ending cutscene of the game will launch and after that the previously saved game is going to be usable only in NG+.
