Achievements The Pillars of the Earth Guide

In the Book One of Ken Follett’s Pillars of the Earth, there are 21 achievements you can unlock. Some of them are multi-stage, while others are mutually exclusive. Most of the achievements, however, require a player to do something more apart from simply following the story.
Good midwife For helping Agnes delivering her child by:

Tattletale For telling friar Remigius who stole Cuthbert’s keys (Chapter One) |
Let there be darkness For extinguishing all four candles in the nave of the cathedral (Chapter One) |
Yet another secret Acquired when, playing as Philip, you unlock the mill with friar Cuthbert’s keys (Chapter One) |
Garden of Eden For bringing Milius some beech nuts from the clearing next to the toll (Chapter One) |
Full house Acquired after Philip invites all the monks to the assembly at the chapterhouse – in order to complete this, you have to use the clue regarding the assembly on:

Silentium est aureum For not answering any questions asked by Remigius during the assembly (Chapter One) |
Man of politics For agreeing to Francis’ plan of taking the letter to the bishop (Chapter One) |
Help and old friend Acquired after Philip feeds the apples and hay to his pony at the courtyard of The Palace of Bishop Waleran Bigod (Chapter Three) |
Rebel without a cause Acquired after Jack shoots his slingshot at Earl of Shiring while he is stalking to his son at the Earlcastle tower (Chapter Three) |
Wannabe knight Playing as Jack - for trying to give soldiers standing in front of the tower the stolen chicken thigh (Chapter Three) |
Staring contest champion Playing as Jack - acquired after entering the staring contest against the red-haired knight on the walls of Earlcastle (do not click any dialogue option, let the white bar disappear from the circle with conversation topics – this has to be done at the first attempt; Chapter Three) |
Friends of sorts Acquired when, playing as Jack, you are kind to Alfred in all these situations:

Lone wolf For teasing Alfred – in all these situations:

Care, like a brother cares For showing Martha how the slingshot works (min. 3 times) during the stay at Earlcastle (Chapter Three) and giving the slingshot to the little girl in the monastery (Chapter Five) |
Boy of mystery Acquired after keeping Jack’s origin a secret:

Twist of fate When playing as Jack – acquired for refusing to burn the cathedral (the option ‘Don’t do it’; Chapter Five) |
Everything’s in order Playing as Philip – for cleaning the mess caused by William Hamleigh from the table in the bishop Waleran’s chamber; you have to pick up the dirty plate, knocked cup, and the knife impaled into the table – put it all on the table (Chapter Six) |
Friar Tuck Playing as Philip – for taking hay and apples for the pony from the courtyard when visiting bishop for the first time (Chapter Three); during the second visit take the cutlery (do not put it back on the table; Chapter Six) |
Negotiation skills For negotiating good agreement terms for the monastery when talking to Hamleighs (as Philip) (Chapter Six) |
