In The Outer Worlds, your character's load capacity determines how many items you can store in the inventory. The greater the load capacity, the more loot you can collect while exploring the world. This is especially important at the beginning of the game when it is necessary to collect everything you come across - you can sell them to get a few bits, the in-game currency. You can increase the load capacity by getting certain perks.

The way to increase the load capacity is to buy the right perks. There are three perks that can help you with this:

  1. Pack Mule - additional 50 kg carrying capacity.
  2. Super Pack Mule - additional 100kg carrying capacity.
  3. Pack of Pack Mules - additional 40 kg carrying capacity thanks to the companions.
