Stray: The Slums, Chapter 4 - walkthrough Stray guide, walkthrough
The Slums is a large location from the game Stray and the first visit takes place in Chapter 4. Our guide contains a walkthrough with a description of all the mandatory tasks in the slums - notebook locations, meeting Momo, Zbaltazar and Doc.

In Chapter 4, Stray, you will visit The Slums for the first time. From the walkthrough of our guide, you will learn, among other things, how to unlock conversations with robots, where Momo is and how to get to him, and how to acquire 4 notebooks - Momo, Doc, Zbaltazar, and Clementine.

Meeting the Guardian
Once you reach the slums, you must travel along a linear path. Ignore the large robots hiding from you, as they are not a threat. You will eventually reach the place where Guardian B-12 is staying - he will be able to translate the language of robots, so there will be an opportunity to communicate with them.
Talk to the Ranger again and show him the Postcard by selecting it from your inventory. You will learn about the need to meet Momo - his apartment is on one of the top floors of the left building with an orange neon sign.
Slum exploration - general assumptions
From now on, you have a lot of freedom of action. You can focus solely on the progress of the game or do a lot of optional activities. Some actions will only come in handy later in the game (e.g. obtaining a poncho), others are related to secrets, which we described in the Secrets and collectibles chapter. You will return to the slums in stages 6 and 7 and you don't have to explore them 100% now.
The main activities from the slums are:
- Meeting robots - you can talk to most of them. You can also show the machine's inventory items.
- Finding B-12 memories and Sheet Music - These are collectibles, with Sheet Music found only in the slums, and you can deliver them to Morusque.
- Buying items from a trader - depending on the item, you have to "pay" with an energy drinks taken from the vending machines or exchange the object from your inventory for another one.
- Unlock trophies related to slum exploration - you can put on a paper bag (achievement Curiosity killed accounts) and correctly push a basketball (achievement Bum shaka laka)
- Text translation by B-12 -These can include road signs, plaques or drawings, and graffiti on walls.
Reaching Momo's apartment
You have to get to the roofs of the central buildings from the slums. This is possible in many places - jump on objects and boxes protruding from walls.
Reach the area under the large neon sign - there are 2 robots in this area throwing paint cans. At the place in the picture, you can continue climbing toward Momo's apartment. The destination is a balcony under an orange neon sign. Once you are on the balcony, jump to the small window.
You can optionally look around the apartment or talk to Momo right away and show him the postcard (choose this item from the inventory). In return, you will receive a Momo's Notebook and a task to obtain 3 more notebooks.
If you have collected other notebooks before, then go straight to the Delivering Momo all the notebooks.
Finding Clementine's Notebook
You can reach Clementine's apartment through the shutter from the image above - get closer to it by jumping over more building roofs.
You have to go to the room with the computer turned on. This is where you will find the Clementine notebook you are looking for.
Finding a Doc's Notebook
You need to get to the library and in order to do so, reach the high balcony presented in the picture above. Then squeeze through the hole.
In the library, look around for a side room partially obscured by towers of books. There you will find a note with the keys to the safe (picture above).
The safe with Doc's notebook is on one of the shelves in the main area of the library. Choose keys from the inventory to open it.
Finding Zbaltazar's Notebook
In this case, you must reach the barricaded balcony of Zbaltazar's apartment shown in the picture above. Climb to the top of this building.
On the roof, he can ask the B-12 to translate the schematic. Remove the power source from picture 1, thanks to which you will turn off the fan on the roof from picture 2. This will allow you to jump into Zbaltazar's apartment.
Jump on the boxes from the central part of the apartment to knock them over. Zbaltazar's journal will fall out of one of them.
Interact with the blind and scratch it until it rolls up. This will unlock a previously inaccessible passage.
Providing Momo with all the notebooks
It is best to return to Momo only once - after collecting the 3 remaining notebooks. Select acquired notebooks from the inventory to show them to the robot. With this, you will learn about the possibility of fixing the Transceiver.
Getting to the rooftops
After watching the cutscene, approach the shutter with Momo standing next to it. You will receive a Transceiver.
Jump through the window and interact with the bucket, which will transport you to a new location. Roof exploration is a separate chapter 5, But after its completion, you will return to the slums (Chapter 6).
