Finding B-12 Memories is one of the optional activities in Stray related to secrets and collectibles. On this page of the guide, we explain what exactly Memories are, how to make it easier for you to locate them, and how to track your progress to find all 27 Memories.
What are Memories?
B-12 Memories are type of collectibles. They are related to the B-12 droid that travels with your hero from Chapter 3 (The Flat).
Each discovered Memory will be commented on by B-12. Some may refer to events in the B-12's past, reminding you of what/who the droid was before.
Finding secrets in the game world
Memories fall into 2 main categories:
- Larger - They occupy the first row in the Memories menu. There are 5 of them to discover, and they will be automatically unlocked at certain points in the game.
- Smaller - They occupy the second and third rows. There are a total of 22 of them to discover. You have to find them so they can be considered secrets.
The game suggests the location of the nearby collectibles - a distorted picture of the location associated with the Memory may be shown in the Memories menu (example in the picture). You can use these hints or the advice on the following pages of this chapter of the guide.
Tracking Progress - select chapter menu
The select chapter option in the main menu helps you track your progress. You can find out how many Memories you have already discovered and how many are still waiting to be unlocked. Repeating the chapters allows you to look for the secrets you missed without restarting the entire game.
Not every chapter has secrets. In addition, you will return to the slums several times throughout the game, and you can find Memories during any of your visits. They're not exclusive to, for example, Chapter 4.
