Zombie types and best ways of fighting them | State of Decay 2 State of Decay 2 guide, walkthrough

In State of Decay 2 you will have to deal with different Zombie types. Some of them will not be a challenge, but others may cause some serious problems. Below you will find all the necessary information to help you in fighting all types of the Zombies.
Screamer
This enemy may look like it's not much of a threat because it doesn't have hands and it can't attack at all. However, this monster serves as an alarm. This zombie starts screaming when it detects threat and it calls other zombie from the area. Eliminate a Screamer first when you are exploring or when you came across a group of zombies. The best way to kill them is to shoot from a distance or to hit them with a car (of course, if a Screamer isn't inside of a building). Charging at a Screamer may end with your character getting stunned which can put you in grave danger.
Bloater
A zombie with green skin and a huge belly. Paradoxically, a dead Bloater is more dangerous than one that is "alive" - upon death it emits a toxic cloud that is extremely dangerous to humans. Because of that a Bloater should be eliminated with a firearm from a greater distance. You should also remember to not drive over them with a car because your vehicle can get filled with Bloater's gas which will force everyone in the car to get out. Also, a headshot only decapitates this enemy. A Bloater can still explode when you get closer to it. A Bloater can be classified as dead when it explodes and emits the gas.
Plague Zombie
A red-skinned zombie with fiery red eyes. This enemy can be encountered near Blood Plague Hearth, their nest. Watch out for a disease that your character can get infected with. The only way to save an infected character is to create a medicine. Otherwise, that person will die and turn into a zombie. This medicine can be created by using 5 samples that can be extracted from defeated Plague Zombies or after destroying a Blood Plague Hearth.
Feral Zombie
Enemies with yellow skin. They are very agile, strong and can keep your character down on the ground. This exposes you to attacks of other zombies. Avoid Feral's attack by jumping - a zombie lands on the ground which gives you a few seconds to react and counterattack. Let this enemy leap towards you. Dodge and perform a finishing move when this enemy is on the ground. Remember that this must be done in an instant which means that you may need a lot of practice. Another good method to defeat a Feral Zombie is to simply drive over them with a car because this enemy can't attack someone who is inside of a vehicle.
Armored Zombie
An armored enemy that is difficult to kill due to its armor. The best way to eliminate this enemy is to use a melee weapon - conserve ammo, it won't hurt it anyway.
Juggernauts
The largest and the most dangerous zombie. This enemy may seem to be impossible to kill - you will need a lot of weapons to defeat it. Also, you should know that hitting it with a car won't cause much damage. Avoid this enemy at all cost. However, if you have to face it then you should try to bring a few survivors with you. Avoid Juggernauts' slow moves and employ fast counters. However, the best, the least expensive and the most efficient way of defeating this enemy is to use a bigger caliber firearm or explosives.
