1. Before you start the game, you can define several additional parameters: you can play solo (where no player will be allowed to join you during the game), play in a multiplayer mode with people you invite, or you can start a game open-to-all. In this last variant, each player will be allowed to join you at any point. If you decide to play with other players, you can additionally specify the base difficulty level (for two, three or four players), which means that your opponents will be tougher.

2. After you accept initial options, you can additionally pick one of the four difficulty levels:

  • Tiny Grashopper - this is the lowest difficulty. At this level, your character will be taking 50% less damage, you will be finding more healing items and the penalty for dying will be very low.
  • I Have No Fear - is the standard difficulty level, where your character takes regular damage and the penalty for dying will be more severe. Apart from that, your opponents regenerate 50% of their health after you die.
  • Who Wants Wang - is hard difficulty level. Your character takes 35% higher damage, your opponents have 50% health more and they are tougher. Also, there are more of them and less of the healing items. After you die, your opponents regenerate the majority of their health, but you gain more loot after you defeat them.
  • No Pain No Gain - is the extreme difficulty level. You take 70% more damage, your opponents are 90% tougher and there are even more special opponents. The penalty for dying is very high and it additionally heals each opponent to the maximum of health. However, you receive the best loot in the game.

3. As a matter of fact, in Shadow Warrior 2, you are free to choose how you eliminate opponents. You can upgrade and modify your favorite weapons. Make sure that dash skill is your best friend. Thanks to it, you can dodge blows, dart towards enemies, etc.

4. In between missions, you have to visit vendors and trade with them. It is a good idea to upgrade your equipment, because difficulty goes up with time. Additionally, NPCs offer missions for which you receive various rewards.

5. It is a good idea to match your tools with opponents. Kill heavy and sluggish opponents with such weapons as rocket launchers, kill the fast ones with weapons of high rate of fire, etc. You an easily switch between weapons using shortcuts.

6. Melee weapons are very effective against some opponents, so do not underestimate it.

7. When it comes to healing, it is best to invest into items that replenish your health points after you kill an opponent. This way, the game will be more dynamic.

8. Special abilities of your character can tip the scales of every fight. Therefore, it is a good idea to get items that speed up regeneration of power.

9. All of the locations of cookies and journals are randomly generated. Try to remember to take a peek into each nook and cranny and to destroy everything in sight.
