Last update: 11 May 2016
Before you leave this section, approach the area circled in the above screenshot.
Thanks to the parrot marked on the screenshot, you can obtain another sound collectible. Your task is to use the elements of the surroundings around the parrot, to repeat the sequence of sounds made by the parrot. Left-click on the bird to hear the set of sounds that you have to repeat in each sequence. If the order is wrong, the parrot will shake its head. If it is correct, the parrot will show its enthusiasm and start singing another tune.
All elements of the surroundings referred to by the Mimicking Parrot, have been marked in the screenshot.
Sequence 1: 4 + 2
Sequence 2: 2 + 4 + 5
Sequence 3: 1 + 4 + 3 + 2
Sequence 4: 5 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 1
After you cave correctly reproduced all sequences, the parrot will start to dance with enjoyment and you will receive another memento (Mimicking Parrot Steam achievement). Collecting the memento is the last thing to do this section. Return to the section above and go to the section where you have started your adventure on the Great Log.
While in the starting location, travel to the neighboring area on the right. After you get there, you will see the view in the above screenshot. You can use the trumpet to interact with these objects to find out what is behind them. After the cutscenes, walk over to the right edge of the screen and proceed to the next section.
This is what you see in the next section. Note the circled areas. Termites that stop in the circled areas are connected to another sound collectible. Note that after the termites stop in the marked areas, they also stand up in upright position for a moment. Left-click on each termite that stops and stands up. After you click on the termites, they will start to sing. After you make five of them sing, wait for the situation to develop. After a while, another animal will appear and you will obtain another memento (Saint Termite Steam achievement).
After you collect the memento, note the circled object. By interacting with it, you will find out that the movable element forms a ladder to the lower levels of the location.
Hold down the LMB on the movable object and drag the mouse down. This will make the ladder slide down and stay that way for a brief moment. That is when you have to interact with it. Your character will climb down to lower level, and he should head toward the circled area.
After you enter the trunk, you will travel to the next location. This time, you will be taken to a lower level of the previous location. Move the mouse to the area marked in the screenshot, wait for the pointer to change its shape into an arrow and return to the previous location to push the story forward.
You will find yourself on the lowest beam of that location. Move the pointer into the circled area to enter the trunk.
Inside the trunk, walk over to the area circled in the above screenshot. Your task is to place the ball in one of the three holes. This will make the ball reach the area in which there are sleeping animals. You will be obtaining the balls thanks to the line circled in the above screenshot. The line leads to a hole in the tree, where you can see a heap of balls. After you pull the line, the animal will drop a ball your way. Then, you have to drop it into the correct hole.
to place a ball in the correct nest, you have to use the rest of the lines to set the marked barriers into correct configuration. After the ball travels the course regulated by the barriers, it will move the lowest barrier, causing the ball to fall into the correct nest.
The above screenshot presents the relations between lines and individual barriers. A single pull of the line changes the orientation of the barrier by one position. In some cases, you will have to pull the line several times, before the barrier assumes the position that you require.
The above screenshot represents the positioning of barriers necessary to get the ball to the first animal. The area that the ball drops into has been circled. You have to drop the ball into the right-most hole (marked in the screenshot). After it receives its food, the animal will approach the white structure in its nest and cause a pulse that will move the structure in the upper-left corner. The fungus will play a tune that will be saved as a sound collectible and added to your collection. (Dancing Fungus Steam achievement).
After you obtain the sound memento, request another ball. Copy the arrangement of barriers from the screenshot above and drop the ball into the left-most hole. The ball will drop into the second nest. After the animal eats the food, it will causes a pulse that opens the entrance to the next tunnel. Enter the tunnel, avoid the dancing fungus and proceed towards the right edge of the screen.
Upon having entered the next area, you will notice a solution to the task currently at your hands. The bee got stuck in an underground cave. The exit has been blocked by a bulb that has lowered itself on the vine. To free the bee, you must keep changing the arrangement of objects until the vine coils and the bulb goes up. The order in which you move the objects is up to you, but the quickest results can be achieved by moving the bulbs from left to right. You manipulate the objects by holding down the LMB and moving the mouse up and down.
The above screenshot presents the final arrangement of the objects thanks to which the bee can leave the cave. The bee will escape the trap at the earliest opportunity. After you free the bee, return to the starting location through the previous locations.
