Ultra Beast - Missions | Walkthrough Pokemon Moon Guide

This chapter provides descriptions of all Ultra Beasts that can be captured in the game. It also provides walkthroughs for missions connected with finding them.

Beginning of the mission

Go to Route 8. You will start next to Poke Center. Go left and enter the neighboring building. This is the place where you were supposed to come to the invitation that you have received. Agree to work with people there. Thanks to this, it will become possible for you to catch Ultra Beast. After the conversation, you will have to fight.

Anabel has as many as five pokemons. Alakazam, level 61, is vulnerable to ghost pokemons. The next next one is Mismagius, level 61. The third one is Snorlax, also level 61. The fourth one is Salamence, level 61 and the last one is Weavile, level 61.

After the battle, go to Aether Paradise. There, take a lift ride to B2F and go right. You will be accosted by Wickie. From her, you will receive 2 Big Malasada. Cross the door and enter the first room. There, you will receive DNA Splicers, Prison Bottle and Soul Dew. Also, he will tell you what those items are for. Leave the room and go to the next one. There, you will receive 10 Beast Balls. You can now leave Aether Paradise and go back to the motel, where you meet Anabel. There, you will receive the first mission for UB-01!

UB-01 - Nihilego

After you have unlocked the quests with Ultra Beasts, the first one that you can capture is Symbiont. You can find it at Wela Volcano Park or Diglett's Cave. In the location where the beast is lurking, the music will change. After a while, you will start a battle with Nihilego.

Nihilego has level 55. It is vulnerable to earth, steel, water and psychic pokemons. After you have drained as many of its health points as possible, freeze it or put it to sleep to bolster your chances of capturing it.

After you have captured the first Ultra Beast, return to the motel.

UB-02 - Pheromosa/Buzzwole

After the first hunt has ended, you will receive instructions concerning the next one. If you have Pokemon Sun, you have to go to Melemele Meadow. If, however, you have Pokemon Moon, go to Verdant Cavern. Also, if you have Pokemon Moon, you will be able to capture as many as four specimens of the same beast. If you have Pokemon Sun, you can only catch two. First, go to Route 3, into the building above Hau'Oli Cemetery. There, enter the same room as on Route 8. After a short conversation, you will receive 10 Beast Balls. Now, go to the location specific for your version of the game.

It has level 60. It is vulnerable to flying, fire psychic and fairy pokemons.

After you have captured the first beast, capture the rest of them necessary to completer the hunt. Then, return to the motel, to Anabel.

UB-03 - Xurkitree

After the conversation, go to Route 8 to catch another Ultra Beast. After a short conversation, you will fight Mina.

Mina has five pokemons. The first one she chooses is Klefki, level 61. It would be good if you had a fire pokemon to defeat this one. The next one is Granbull, also level 61. It is vulnerable to steel and poison. The third one is Shiinotic, level 61. This is a plant Pokemon, which is why you should use a fire one. The fourth one is Wigglytuff. This one is also vulnerable to poison and steel. The last one is Ribombee, level 61. It is vulnerable to stone, poison, steel, fire and flying pokemons.

You will receive another 10 Beast Balls. You can find UB in Lush Jungle or in Memorial Hills.

Xurkitree - level 65. It is vulnerable to earth pokemons.

After you have captured the first specimen, you will have to capture another one. After you have done that, return to the hotel.

UB-04 - Kartana/Celesteela

After you have captured Xurkitree, go to Ula'ula, to the hotel on Route 13. There, you will receive information about UB-04. Again, you will have to capture them. Kartana, available in Pokemon Sun, is in Malie Garden. You will find Celesteele in Haina Desert. Here, you will receive another 10 Beast Balls.

UB-05 - Guzzlord

After you have captured the previous UB, go back to Route 13. You will meet Nanu in Seafolk Village, at the restaurant. After a short conversation, you will fight him.

Nanu has a level 63 Sableye, level 63 Krookodile, level 63 Persian, level 63 Absol and level 63 Honchkrow.

After the battle, it turns out that you find this UB in Resolution Cave. The cave is in the newly-unlocked grounds. Exactly, you will have to go to Poni Plains and go to Poni Meadow. In the deepest parts of the cave, you will find this UB.

Guzzlord is level 70. This is a mix between a darkness pokemon and a dragon.

After you have captured it, return to the restaurant in Seafolk Village. There, you will be instructed to go to Aether Paradise to Mrs. Wicke. After a short conversation, you will receive 1 MILLION. Also, you will be instructed to go back to Melemele hotel.

Black Reflector

To unlock the option to capture Necrozma, after you have captured Guzzlord, you will have to go to Route 2, to the hotel. Necrozma appears only after you have talked to Looker. You will find him in Ten Carat Hill, but to capture it, your main pokemon has to be no higher than level 75. Necrozma cannot be captured using Beast Ball, which is why you should have a Master Ball. This one is a legendary pokemon.

Necrozma. This one is a psychic pokemon and you can defeat with worm ghost and darkness pokemons.
