Tibia Celebrates Its 25th Birthday and Will Finally Feature Sound
Tibia celebrates its 25th birthday. The creators informed that the iconic MMORPG will receive an audio layer later this year.

A few days ago Tibia, an iconic MMORPG, turned 25. The creators of the game - CipSoft - decided to celebrate this anniversary with a bang. They published a video, in which they inform that their game will receive an audio layer later this year.
The video is six minutes-long and mostly revolves around the headquarters of CipSoft. In it, we can see the server room as well as developers' and testers' rooms. But the last 30 seconds of the footage are the most most interesting. We see (and hear) the pre-alfa version of Tibia with sound. If you are interested, you can watch the whole video below.
Tibia debuted on PC on January 7, 1997 and is still very popular among the players. According to the creators, throughout 25 years the game has generated over 200 million euros in revenue. It is not surprising that they did not abandon the project and continue to enrich it with new content.
