Civilization 7 changes for the better with player feedback. Many new important features have been added to Firaxis' strategy
Sid Meier's Civilization 7 received a big update numbered 1.1.1. Among the new features are a restart button and another natural wonder - Mount Everest. There were also fixes related to the game's interface.

As previously announced, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII received update 1.1.1 today. The developers from Firaxis Games, as they admitted in a post about the latest patch, have taken the community's comments to heart and introduced several long-awaited features. The studio also continues to work on improving the interface.
The most important new features in 1.1.1 update
One of the most important changes is the new default option for starting positions on the map: "Standard." It's closer to the solutions known from Civilization VI, "where the layout of the continents was less predictable." The previous option has been renamed to "Balanced" (it will still be the default setting in multiplayer mode). Firaxis announced further work on map diversity, and larger maps are expected to hit the title in the future.
Another important change is the restart button. Its purpose is to allow you to quickly reset the game within the first few turns while keeping the same map and leader settings. Most importantly, this feature will be unavailable after transitioning to a new Age or in multiplayer mode.
With the update, a new wonder of nature - Mount Everest - was also added to the game. Placing your civilization at the foot of the mountain will provide +2 to happiness, +2 to influence, and +2 to culture, and will also reveal all mountain fields on the continent as soon as it is discovered.
The most important new features also include:
- Quick Move - a feature that lets you turn off unit movement animations, which speeds up the gameplay.
- Anticipated UI improvements include enhanced readability of health bars for units and settlements, improved tips for hexes, and the addition of a new notification to inform about attacks on districts.
- Players can now assign any names to their cities and commander units.
- Markers have been added to the HUD showing when the next crisis will happen.
Crossroads of the World Collection DLC
Along with the patch, fresh content for the paid DLC Crossroads of the World Collection was also released. From today the expansion includes:
- Simon Bolivar - a new leader specializing in expansion and military affairs;
- Bulgaria - a civilization focused on military domination;
- Nepal - a civilization focused on diplomacy and culture, benefiting from the special advantages of mountainous regions.
Firaxis has already announced another major update - version 1.2.0 - scheduled for April. So let's expect further UI fixes, the announced "One More Turn" feature, and other improvements.
- Civilization 7 received major 1.1.0 update and its first DLC. However, players aren't returning to the new strategy
- Civilization 7 players get premature access to next DLC. Firaxis or Sony may have accidentally caused this
- Firaxis hired creator of Civ 7's unofficial UI fixes. Players congratulate and hope that the modder will make „the best Civilization ever”
