When the golden era of Hearthstone has already tarnished, Blizzard managed to 1-up it by introducing auto battler component called Battlegrounds. However, it’s been years since the launch of said mode and now it’s in a rather sorry state, partially left by the creators and ridden with bugs. A popular streamer, Reynad, took the matter in his own hands to form Tempo Storm studio, which works on a new deck building game – The Bazaar. It’s been 6 years since the production was announced but finally, we can check it out in closed beta. How to get access? When it will be fully released? Here you will learn all you need to know.

The Bazaar closed beta explained

The closed beta period of The Bazaar has already started on October 30th, 2024. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t get in. On the contrary, it is still possible to gain access. Currently, in order to start playing, it is necessary to buy a founder pack on the game’s official website. There are 3 levels of founder packs:

  1. Tier 1 – costs $33. Gives access to closed beta to you and one extra for a friend alongside some in-game cosmetics.
  2. Tier 2 – worth $66. Includes the previous tier rewards and provides even more digital goods to show off.
  3. Tier 3 – 99$ priced package, which consists of both previous tiers, additional cosmetics, but also offers a physical vinyl with The Bazaar’s OST for the first 5000 backers (the price does not include shipping costs, though).

To get closed beta access then, it is sufficient to buy the very first tier of founder’s pack or… get it from a friend. This period will last till December 2024, yet there is no exact date revealed.

Roadmap of The Bazaar

If you are patient enough, you can venture into The Bazaar for free some time in December, as the title is supposed to enter open beta then. We can assume that once the closed beta period ends, it will immediately be available for everyone, yet we can’t be certain. According to the official post on X, the dates are rather blurry… quite literally.

If we are to believe the developers’ plans, both test periods shouldn’t last long, and we will be able to enjoy the full-fledged version of the production already in January 2025. It is said to be available in free-to-play model, which will let everyone jump in and experience the madness of The Bazaar.

Let’s hope that the tests will smooth out minor bugs that are still present in the current version of this game, and we’ll be able to see a birth of Hearthstone’s successor.
