Server Issues in No More Room in Hell 2 (NMRiH2), Ping Is High
Server issues in new multiplayer games are something normal nowadays. However, in NMRiH2, there is a unique problem.
No More Room in Hell 2 debuted a few minutes ago. This multiplayer title, in which people have to fight with zombies, was awaited by many. Numerous players have good memories with the first part of the franchise. However, soon after its release, there is one prominent topic, which people talk about – servers. It seems that developers decided to do something strange and people end up in random lobbies.
Server issues in NMRiH2. Lobbies are no ideal
Not even an hour into early access and people have one question – what about servers? It seems that players can’t pick those which are the closest to them, but the algorithm does that for them. Is it good? Of course, if it works as intended, however it seems that there is a problem.
Fans report that they are paired with people with high ping or they themselves have one. It does not seem like an intended feature, or at least let’s hope it’s not. It is likely that the mechanism prioritizes full lobbies rather than server proximity. Hard to say why it is so. Let’s hope that the issue will be fixed soon.
We need to remember that the game is in early access for a reason. It is not a finished product. While after buying a game, it is understandable that we want to play it right here and now, in the case of EA, we have to be prepared for many issues. Because of that, if you are not among the biggest fans, it is a good idea to give developers a couple of days before you buy the product. Wait for the most urging problems to be solved.
