PS5 Controller - DualSense Revealed

Sony has revealed DualSense, a wireless controller that will be used to play on PlayStation 5. The changes compared to DualShock 4 are significant.

Instead of the expected DualShock 5 we will get the DualSense.
The pad for PS5 in a nutshell:
  1. Tt's called DualSense, not DualShock 5;
  2. It is wireless;
  3. More rounded in shape than DualShock;
  4. The Share button will replace the Create button;
  5. The pad will be equipped with haptic technology and adaptive triggers;
  6. DualSense has a built-in microphone.

Sony has revealed DualSense, a wireless controller that will be attached to the PlayStation 5 consoles. This means that after four generations we say goodbye to the name DualShock. Although it has been reshaped into a more rounded pad, it is meant to retain everything that people liked the previous DualShock devices for.

The DualSense will be equipped with haptic technology to enable realistic vibrations. An additional attraction will be adaptive triggers with variable pressure, which will allow developers to better render e.g. drawing of a bow string.

The Share button known from DualShock 4 will be replaced by new one, called Create, which is designed to enable us to create "epic gameplays". Unfortunately, Sony hasn't revealed what exactly it means, but we'll get more details soon.

The pad for PlayStation 5 will also have a built-in microphone, allowing for voice communication without a headset. It will also offer a powerful battery.

DualSense breaks with the tradition of PlayStation pads that were made in one colour. With the PS5 controller, Sony has put on two main colours and, judging by the first images, the whole thing looks quite attractive. We're wondering if the console itself will also have a rounded shape and two-color design.

PlayStation 5 is scheduled to be released this year, although Sony hasn't yet given a specific date. The company only assures that the current coronavirus situation should not affect the release date.
