God of War Remaster could be announced sooner than expected
According to industry expert Jeff Grubb, the refreshed version of the classic God of War could be presented for the first time as early as March, perhaps a bit earlier than some thought.

Rumors about a remaster of the classic God of War first appeared in 2023, suggesting a refresh of the original Kratos adventure trilogy. At the end of last year, the topic came back, giving fans hope for a breakthrough during the 20th anniversary of the release of the first installment of the series. This falls exactly on March 22—that's when the first game was released on the PS2 in the United States.
Since that moment, we haven't received any confirmation of this information from Sony. Perhaps this will change soon, and even faster than some thought. According to Jeff Grubb, the announcement of the God of War remaster has a chance to take place even before the aforementioned anniversary.
I think that those God of War remaster rumors just jumped the gun a little bit. That stuff will happen closer to this - wrote Jeff Grubb on Bluesky, in response to a post by comic artist Kristofer Anka.
According to Grubb, the show could take place as early as March 15th. On this day, the exhibition "celebrating the 20th anniversary of God of War" will open at the Nucleus Art Gallery in Alhambra, California, showcasing works by artists including the previously mentioned Kristofer Anka.
Visitors will take part in an "exclusive presentation of artworks, concept graphics, and memorabilia that celebrate the rich heritage of Kratos' journeys." A special anniversary panel has also been planned, where several developers will appear. It's hard to find a better moment for the announcement of the remaster.
Another rumor recently spread in the industry media, suggesting that in the next installment of the bald killer saga, he will visit Greece once more. According to a source who contacted journalist Tom Henderson, the title will present the early days of the main character.
