Metal Gear Solid Classic Collection Officially on PC; Release Date and Gameplay Trailer
We have learned new information about the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 bundle. The classics from Konami will arrive this fall, including on PCs.
On the occasion of today's Nintendo Direct broadcast, new information was revealed about Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, or a set of five classic installments of Metal Gear.
During the event, a short gameplay trailer of the iconic games was shown (below), which revealed the set's release date and the platforms on which Konami's bundle is headed.
From the above video, as well as information posted on the publisher's website, we know that:
- Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 will be released on October 24, 2023;
- the bundle will hit Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, as well as PC (Steam);
- the classics collection will include five games: Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (HD version with additional missions), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD version), and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD version);
- additionally included are: Snake's Revenge (an alternative sequel to Metal Gear), soundtrack from MGS and two video novels set in the series' universe;
- those who pre-order will additionally receive access to three unreleased tracks, arranged and performed by a symphonic orchestra, that have not been released anywhere else.
Finally, it is worth noting that the main games forming the Master Collection will also be available for purchase separately. However, those who choose not to purchase the entire set will not get access to additional content, including Snake's Revenge.
