Aloft is a new survival game with a twist. You can inhabit one of the flying islands and change it into a ship. This interesting idea attracted thousands of players. As in all games of this genre, this title also depends on crafting a lot. One of the main resources needed to progress is Paper. However, you will soon see that you are in constant need of it. So, how do you get it?

Of course, you can find Paper. It was the only way of getting this resource in the earlier version of the game and demo. However, with the introduction of early access, it has changed. Now you can also craft this valuable item.

First of all, you must craft a Paper Pulp. To do that, you need:

  1. 1 Glasswort (this plant can be found most commonly in various chests starting with the second biome),
  2. 1 Clean Water,
  3. 3 Small Plants.

It is not the end of the road, though. To craft a piece of Paper, you need to combine 5 Paper Pulps. Now, you can enjoy your new resource.

Keep in mind that the game is in early access and some features and mechanics might be reworked in the future. What does it mean? While we do not suspect that the way of crafting Paper will evolve very much, some numbers might be changed after optimization patches. So, keep that in mind.

If you still consider buying Aloft, we have prepared articles which might help you. We are discussing multiplayer and potential console release in them. Feel free to check them out.
