While there is a competition, we can’t deny that YouTube is still a giant of free to watch videos. Some time ago, it introduced a new feature called shorts as an answer to similar content from other websites. However, recently, many viewers began to see a bug. For numerous people, YouTube shorts are playing audio twice. How to fix it? Why is it happening? We have answers.

How to Fix YouTube shorts playing audio twice

Time is essential in our busy lives. Sometimes we have only a few minutes before we need to start doing something again. Short videos on portals such as TikTok or YouTube are the answer to that. However, recently thousands (if not more) of people began to have a problem with YT shorts. What is the issue? After opening the new tab with a video, audio plays twice. Why is that?

The answer is adblock. No one likes advertising, so many people have installed plugins to block them. Of course, it is not ideal for creators (and websites), for whom it is one of the sources of income. However, we can’t deny facts. In the case of the recent YouTube problem, addblock is the culprit. It seems that YouTube and the plugin do not work well together and the result is a double audio in shorts. The easiest way to fix it is to turn off the adblock, at least for the time of scrolling through shorts.

Of course, alternatively, you can just pause the video. Shorts are… well, short enough, to wait a few seconds and watch the video after that. You can also stay in the same tab. It should also not trigger double audio.
