Out of video memory crash in inZOI? We have a fix
Crashes are not something that you would expect after waiting for a long time for inZOI. Here you will find a fix for out of video memory error in this title.

The wait is finally over. InZOI has officially debuted in Early Access on Steam, preceded by a delay that wasn’t supposed to happen. Many fans already praise this title, despite being far from feature complete. A good portion of them already dig a hole for The Sims series, yet inZOI is not all roses. And even if it were, all (or at least most) roses have thorns. Some of them, like Denuvo, have been removed by the developers, but others are still standing proud, hurting players’ experience with this production. With the game becoming widely available for most of the people eager to play it, we can see increased reports about “Out of video memory” error. Fortunately, there is a chance that the fix for this problem will be quick and easy. Here you will learn what is needed to get rid of it.
Out of video memory error in inZOI fix
It appears that despite very steep hardware requirements (that are even higher if you decide to turn on experimental Smart Zoi option) for inZOI, many fans have come prepared and attempt to launch the title on their beefy machines rocking RTX 4000 and 5000 series with the latest gen intel processors. Sometimes, though, it turns out that the most powerful components come with their caveats and can be an immediate reason for “Out of video memory” error. Fortunately, in most cases the fix should be relatively easy.
It is not news that 13th and 14th gen Intel processors pose problems for their owners. While video memory is associated with graphics cards, this specific error is triggered by CPU related malfunction that is already well known for the manufacturer. If you are affected by it, the best thing to do is to go to your motherboard’s producer website and update BIOS / UEFI to its latest version. Also, having all your drivers up to date won’t hurt either.
Despite that, there is a chance that it is indeed caused by insufficient video memory of your GPU. There are two ways to deal with it – lowering the graphics settings in the game itself or considering buying a new graphics card. There is no workaround for low specs, sadly. To be sure that it is the root of the problem in your case, you can check the GPU section in the “Performance” tab of Task Manager, while the game is running, to verify how much of the memory is used.
Nonetheless, the developers from Krafton are not burying their heads in sand and are doing their best to help the affected community members. In one of the messages on inZOI’s official Discord server, they have informed that they are looking into this issue from their end.
Hopefully, after applying this quick fix you will be able to chill out in this cozy title. Make sure to take good care of your Zois, as the death lurks around every corner. Have fun!
