Playing video games on PC with a gamepad in hands is nothing new. This platform is home of many unheard-of controllers in various forms. Whether the title that you would like to use it for supports them, is another matter. Nowadays, we have Steam Input for productions that are available in this launcher, yet even that is sometimes not enough. If you enjoy the story of Three Kingdoms, you might have had your eyes peeled for Dynasty Warriors Origins. The game offers massive and dynamic battles which you experience in the skin of a nameless hero. Sounds like a perfect production to use a controller for, doesn’t it? Well, it turns out that they do not always work. Let’s dive a bit deeper to find any possible workaround.

Controller issues in Dynasty Warriors Origins

Dynasty Warriors Origins is a TPP hack and slash game that just asks to be played on a controller, regardless of the platform. Many fans seem to agree with that statement, as they have attempted to use a gamepad in this title only to find out that it doesn’t work. It is especially puzzling, as on the Steam page, it clearly says that it supports at least Xbox Controllers. What to do then?

The only, yet fortunately very easy, method found by one of the players is to restart Steam. It is interesting that the developers haven’t looked into that earlier, as it has been a known issue at least since the demo version was released in November.

As a side note, it is worth mentioning that Dynasty Warriors Origins is available right now in Advanced Access on Steam. Its standard price is set at $70, offering only singleplayer experience, contrary to some previous games in the series.
