Last year, the Korean studio Round 8 released one of the best Souls-like games, which wasn't developed by FromSoftware. Lies of P received very positive reviews, and by March of this year, the game had been played by 7 million players, with an estimated 5 million of them using a Game Pass subscription. Some time ago, the developers announced the first DLC and a sequel, and now they have given new information.

Fortunately, it seems that we won't have to wait too long for an expansion to Lies of P. As reported by the Korean website EBN, the DLC will be released in the first quarter of 2025. Unfortunately, we still have no information about the content apart from the musical piece and a concept art.

A much more interesting issue is the next Round 8 game. Up until now, we may have thought that the studio was only working on the sequel to Lies of P, but it turns out to be different. The devs have another upcoming title up their sleeve, which they describe as a “sci-fi survival horror.” It was also reported that the game is being developed based on the Unreal Engine 5 (in the case of Lies of P it was UE4) and is heading for PC and consoles.

This is news that may please fans of the Dead Space series, among others. Even more so after the failed project that turned out to be The Callisto Protocol. Furthermore, the demand for survival horrors seems to be quite large, as evidenced by the success of the Resident Evil series or the recently released Silent Hill 2.

If, on the other hand, you are concerned about the future of Lies of P, a representative from Neowiz noted that the aforementioned survival horror game is "one of the games being prepared by Round 8". So, the sequel to Pinocchio's adventures is most likely being developed parallel to it.
