Lies of P Devs Boast High Sales of Their Soulslike
We've learned the official sales results of Lies of P. Within a month of its release, the soulslike game starring Pinocchio reached an important milestone.
Today marks one month since the first players laid their hands on the full version of Lies of P. The companies Round8 Studio and Neowiz thought that after such a long time since the release of their work, they can boast the sales results. As announced in a message published on the official profile of the game on Twitter / X, so far, one million copies of the game have been sold.
The devs and publisher can therefore talk about commercial success. The latter should not surprise anyone, considering, for example, that at the peak of popularity Lies of P was played by nearly 20,000 players on Steam; nevertheless, for some time now the game has been attracting an average of less than 10,000 players per day (per SteamDB). Nonetheless, these are still good results, especially if we take into account the fact that the game is available in Game Pass.
It is worth noting that the commercial success of Lies of P is also matched by the artistic success of this soulslike. On Steam it enjoys "very positive" reviews, while on Metacritic the average rating given to it by industry media is in the 80-84/100 range (depending on the platform).
- Lies of P is a dak soulslike adaptation of the novel Pinocchio.
- The games takes us on a journey to the city of Krat, whose gloomy streets we roam as an animated mechanical puppet. Wanting to find Mr. Geppetto, Pinocchio must move ahead and face the dangers lurking in front of him.
- The gameplay in Lies of P does not differ too much from what other soulslike games have accustomed us to. Nevertheless, the game implements the mechanics of lies, which affect the course of the story and the tasks awaiting the protagonist, as well as shape Pinocchio himself.
- Lies of P boasts polished graphics, which are maintained in a gloomy style that evokes associations with the bestselling Bloodborne.
