CD Projekt RED Expanded Its Playtest Program. Decision Aims to Give Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel More American Feel
CD Projekt RED has announced expanding the RED Playtesting program to include a branch in Boston. This is where the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is being developed.
In January last year, CD Projekt RED launched an initiative aimed at gamers, called RED Playtesting. Thanks to her, interested individuals can participate in the game development process by becoming a kind of tester. At that time, the campaign was limited to the Warsaw headquarters, but now the expansion of the program to North America has been officially announced.
The rules in this case remain identical. People who are at least 16 years old and are not professionally associated with the gaming industry can register. Participation in the program is free of charge, and as a reward, participants will receive unique commemorative gadgets. Testing will take place in Boston, Massachusetts.
There is no denying that this announcement is directly related to the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 , or Project Orion, because, as we know, the team stationed in Boston is responsible for its development. Thanks to this, the new game is to be "authentically" American, and inviting local players to test it should bring the creators even closer to this goal.
Of course, there is nothing to prevent others from signing up for the program. If you are interested, you can do this through the studio's website, where you will also find a section for questions and answers. However, remember that if you do receive an invitation, you will have to cover the costs of travel and return from your own pocket. Additionally, knowledge of English is required, and signing an NDA agreement is mandatory.
