The CD Projekt Group recently revealed some information about the sales results of Cyberpunk 2077 and also provided more insights into the current state of their projects. It was confirmed once again that the top priority is The Witcher 4, with 61% of the team already working on it.

How many people are on Project Orion, the CP2077 sequel, though? Currently, a team of around 60 developers is developing it, and as Karolina Gnas, responsible for investor relations, mentioned during the conference, this squad is expected to double in size soon.

We do not have any issues here apart from regular scouting for talent that is normal in Poland and in the US. The current team size aligns with our needs, and we plan to further expand the size of the team next year. We actually plan to double the team by the end of 2025.

Therefore, by the end of next year, the team developing the continuation of the Night City story, should grow to around 120 employees. At the moment, not much is known about the content of this game. Despite everything, job offers for the "talents" mentioned by Gnas occasionally appear, from which we can sometimes extract a few "interesting facts" - such as the potential for a larger number of animals in a futuristic world.

If you haven't had the chance to play Cyberpunk 2077 yet, there is a big sale for this title on Valve's platform as part of the Steam Autumn Sale 2024. Until December 4, we will pay $26.99 for it (the standard price is $59.99).
