Brighter Shores is Region Locked. Not Available in Your Region Message Is Seen by Many Players

Brighter Shores was released a few hours ago and it has some technical issues. One of them is that the game is region locked, but the countries seem to be random.

Brighter Shores is a creation of the same person who gave us RuneScape, Andrew Gower. The game attracted thousands of people interested in this new approach to MMORPG genre. However, we can’t say that the release was without technical “hiccups”. It has started with server issues and audio problems. It is not all, though. Many players report that the game is region locked.

Brighter Shores is Region Locked

We can find on Steam and Reddit many people who experience an error upon launching the game. It states that Brighter Shores is not available in their region. It seems that for some reason, developers decided to block access to the game for various countries. The choice seems quite random: Cyprus, Venezuela, Cambodia, Ukraine and more.

We couldn’t find any mention or the reason for this on the official channels. However, it seems like something which should not happen. It is likely that at some point the problem will fix itself, as creators will notice it. However, there might be a good reason for that (which we do not know about). Let’s hope that developers will either give more information on the subject or solve the issue.

We should remember that the game has been just released. Moreover, it is in early access. Both of these factors mean that we should expect various technical issues. Sadly, players nowadays have to be patient. Let’s hope that all problems will be fixed as soon as possible.
