In September 2021, more than 3 years ago, the creation of the Nesting Games studio under the umbrella of 505 Games was announced. The team was founded by former Ubisoft employees, who were joined by people who had previously worked on series such as Borderlands and Call of Duty. Since then, the studio has been silent, but now they have come back with news of an "important announcement" that will happen this week.
It’s been a while since we last posted, but we’re stepping into a bold new era for NestingGames. Stay tuned; major news will be released by the end of the week, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!
So most likely, within the next few days, we will get to know the new title that the developers have been working on for the last few years. The goal of Nesting Games was to create an RPG game for a single player, but without a huge open world, which is a characteristic element of Ubisoft's titles.
The devs aimed to shift away from the frequently found collectibles in games and return to "content-driven experiences that value the player's time." The foundation of their work is to be well-written characters, interesting stories, immersion, and strong gameplay.
Will they succeed? Unfortunately, we will only find out after the game's launch, which may still be very far away. The first announcement, however, may give us some insight into whether the developers' plans have not changed over the years.
