New update to Project Zomboid makes big changes to guns and chicken hatching in „unstable” version of this survival game
In the latest Project Zomboid Build 42 update, we are facing, among other things, changes in the system of acquiring weapons and... raising chickens.

The popular survival sandbox - Project Zomboid, has received another update. Recent changes have introduced conveniences to the game, such as TV control, and now it's time for firearms, keys to buildings and vehicles, and... the mechanics of chickens hatching from eggs.
The update number 42.2.0 appeared on Steam yesterday and introduced many important features. Besides standard balance and gameplay improvements, as well as fixing bugs and various graphical shortcomings (in total, there are over 250 fixes), several interesting options have been added.
One of them is the matter of keys to buildings and vehicles. When we play in Admin or Debug mode, the coordinates included in them will allow us to move to the place where the keys originally appeared. However, this only works for those items that spawned after the update was introduced. Moreover, the given key always teleports us to the original location of the object associated with it. So if we moved the vehicle somewhere, we would still end up where it originally appeared.
Another important issue is the distribution of loot. Thanks to the update, guns and other types of firearms now have an increased likelihood of appearing in stores and police warehouses. Aiming should also be easier - the devs have improved the maximum angle of the upper body rotation of the character while using a weapon, which in practice will affect controls.
Goodbye, chicken farm
The most unexpected (and quite difficult to detect, because it's hidden among the wall of "ordinary" fixes) change is... the new process of chicks hatching from eggs. From now on, they simply won't come out of their safe shells when the conditions are bad - read: we keep them in the fridge. This will probably limit our survival capabilities in a way.
The patch should at least partially negate the changes that appeared in December and weren't necessarily to the fans' liking. However, if we don't like the new features, we can always change the version of the game.
