Skill Recovery Journal
When your character dies in Project Zomboid, you have to start from scratch. You have to create a new survivor with default abilities. This title is never-ending circle of life and death, so you will repeat it many times during your adventure.
Skill Recovery Journal allows you to save skills that your character learned during their life. Your new survivor can read the special book, to acquire all abilities written there. This allows you to make the progression less frustrating and more rewarding.
Better Sorting
Players use many items during adventures. There is a chance that you will not know the purpose of some of them. Better Sorting tells you what you can do with picked up loot.
Weapon Condition Indicator
Fighting is a very important element of Project Zomboid. To survive you must find a weapon that allows you to effectively eliminate zombies. Guns can be risky, because they will attract more enemies. A good idea is to choose melee weapons – especially crowbars and Nightsticks.
Whether you use close combat or range armament, you must remember that they degrade when you use them. In the unmodded game, you can find information about weapon’s status in your inventory. Weapon Condition Indicator changes that and you can see the state of your weapon in the bottom part of the screen. This minimizes the risk of your gun breaking in the middle of a fight.
Vehicle Repair Overhaul
Working vehicles with keys are a rare event in Project Zomboid. So, when you find one, you must take good care of it. If you hit the tree at full speed, it will be damaged and will probably not go any further. Vehicle Repair Overhaul is a mod that allows you to repair and salvage cars way more easily.

Bushcraft Gear – Tools doesn’t alter mechanics. Instead, it adds a set of melee weapons, that allows you to fight with zombies effectively.
