Extra Necropolis Guide
Last update: 08 August 2016
This chapter includes information on items that are not strictly associated with weapons. The amount of these items is limited, and thus requires that you use them wisely.
If you are using the codex that allows you to identify every item, it will be much easier to decide. If you are not using it, it's best to purchase several scrolls from the old man.
Scrolls
Scrolls, just like codexes, offer boost that last temporarily. To find out more about scrolls and their effects, check the chapter devoted to codexes. One should keep in mind that their effects do not last long, so it is good to identify them to know which scroll is best for specific situations. You should always have a scroll or the right codex that will allow you to identify all the collected items.
Potions
Potions are similar to scrolls. There is a dozen or so of them and the only way to learn more about them, is to base your knowledge on short descriptions or try them out in the battlefield. The following chapter will provide information on certain potions that you can come across (all that I was able to find).
If you are using potions that have not been identified, the color of the potion can give you a hint about its effects. The notion of trial and error is not as great as in the case of scrolls. You will find additional hints in the chapter devoted to crafting.
Food
Food and potions play an essential part of the gameplay. Each food ration is a one-time use item, and has to be used when needed. You will come across a lot of normal food rations, but other types are very rare and hard to find. You may also purchase them from merchants or craft with the right recipes. To find out more about food, read the chapter devoted to recipes.
