2181 Despoina I ME3: Leviathan Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Quest giver: none
Means of unlocking: determine Leviathan's whereabouts.
This quest isn't very complicated, but it requires paying a lot of attention. Unlike earlier, you're not supposed to explore the surroundings or look for any switches, but rather to put up good, old-fashioned fight. From the very beginning you have to be prepared to match up against a huge number of cannibals and marauders aided by a few husks and brutes. Your enemies will be attacking in waves so you will be able to find a moment to catch your breath and reload the weapon. Still, you will have to be prepared for a bit of a bloodshed.
After the shuttle lands, run up to the first cover and get prepared for the mass attack stop them donate your enemies want up to another and from Pro one: to another. At the same time, look around the surroundings because throughout the whole of the ship (being one big and enclosed arena) has been peppered with equipment (see: treasures). Leviathan's artifacts are of no significance whatsoever; that's why you should waste no ammo on destroying them.
Once you handle a sufficient number of enemies, the shuttle will go airborne and crash at the other end of the platform. This is equivalent to another the monster invasion, which will protect both you and their rescue vehicle. Although Lieut. Cortez will be asking for immediate help you do not need to hurry; he's invincible so he is not in danger. When you kill off all the enemies, you will be given [450 exp] and you'll be able to talk to your pilot.
.
After a short conversation you'll be given a new mission-recharging the generators that will open the gates to the battle mech. The missions seems difficult but it should pose no problem. Take a power-cell from the Lieutenant, and go to the nearest socket, which you can find to the left . When the cell runs flat, go back for the next one. You should repeat the operation until the blast door is open. Don't worry about enemies while doing that - eliminate only those that pose the most immediate threat.. The remaining ones may be well ignored. If you find the fight problematic, you may equip Hydra rocket launcher that you will find near Cortez - it is very effective against brutes.
As soon as the blast door opens, run inside, and get into the Tryton Suit (that's what the mech has been named). Their equipment is very powerful and that's why you will have no problems eliminating the remaining enemies. Once all of them fall, approach Lieutenant Cortez and watch the cut scene. This is the last occasion to search for useful equipment and its location-when you go underwater, there will be no coming back!
