Throughout the game, you will get into places, full of akrids numerous times,.

Here are several advices that may prove useful throughout the game:

  • In general terms, you should always remain in motion during battles. Do not allow your enemies approach you too close, as their attacks may prove lethal. In larger numbers, even sepias are dangerous.
  • Use grenades. In many cases they will prove to be the best weapon against akrids.
  • While fighting the larger, armored akrids, remember to avoid their attacks at all costs. Additionally, a well-performed dodge will allow you to lay fire on the on the orange area, which is vulnerable to attacks. A well-aimed grenade will immobilize the larger monsters, like tangaant or sieragz, for a moment which will buy you some time e.g. to replenish your ammo.
  • While fighting the female Wardeyes it pays off to hide behind covers and continue fire from there. Still, you should watch out for male Wardeyes , who will try to get you from behind and attack close-up.
  • You can replenish your ammo at your mech.
  • Collect T-energy and unique components. The former will allow you to buy upgrades for your weaponry, and for the latter, you will receive upgrades to your mech.
  • If you do not have enough components, you can redeem some T-energies at the quartermaster in the Hangar, on level one, to obtain those. For one component, you will have to pay 2000 T-energies.
  • If, on the other hand, you are lacking some T-energies you can put up T-posts, which you will be able to empty later on and obtain the local currency (the places where you can erect them, have been specifies in the Side Missions chapter).
  • Keep visiting the quartermaster in the Hangar, to obtain new weapons. You can also buy them in the Forgotten Camp.
  • You can improve your weapon. You can do that at the quartermaster's The upgrades that are worth attention, are e.g.: increased number of carried grenades and bigger clip.
  • After you have found all of the albino taarkas (see: Collectibles) in the Forgotten Camp you will be able to upgrade your suit. Increased regeneration can come in handy in some situations.
  • You will save lots of time by fast-travelling.
  • Do not eat snow :)
