Secrets in the mine | Chapter 3 LEGO City: Undercover Guide

List of secrets:

1. 2 character tokens: Guy Newbery, Spikey Don;
2. 1 Red brick: Unlimited dynamite;
3. 2 vehicles: Dumper, Steadfast.

Shield pieces:

1. Put down 5 fires;
2. Find a piece hidden under rocks,
3. Free 4 birds from cages,
4. Obtain 5 yellow ores.

LEGO City hero status: 90 000 studs.

Hint: Use dynamite machine another time after blowing the story object. The machine will explode, providing even a few thousand of studs.

This location features three areas. However, there are no secrets in the second area:

• The first cave
• The third cave

The first cave

Fish the token from the water and break the pile of rocks

There is a small water tank in the first cave on the left. Use the hook and the rope to turn around the platform on the water. You will find a character token: Guy Newbery. Turn to the right and destroy the pile of rocks with a pickaxe: you will find the first piece of shield.

You can use the machine only as a worker

In the central part of the cave there is a yellow pump. Use it as a worker. Once you get rid of the water, take the Spikey Don character token from the hole. On the ground floor you will also find five burning barrels. If you have a firefighter disguise, you can put the fire down. Three of them are on the ground (notice the one near the cave entrance) and the fourth barrel (4/5) is lying near the booth from which you take miner costume during the story...

In order to collect the token you must switch the button after using the color changer

It's not over yet. Go to the left side and climb up. Behind the bars you will see a vehicle token: Dumper. In order to collect it you must color the switch to green (next to it you will see a burning barrel (5/5)). Color changer can be found deeper in the side corridor of the above cave. However, in order for the changer to work you must have a worker disguise and you must fix an electric box.

The third cave

Destroy the yellow rocks and you will obtain a piece of the shield

There is nothing interesting in the second cave where you're jumping down. Go to the third one in which you must construct a cart. It doesn't matter if you already have the bricks required for building the cart. Start climbing up. You must destroy the yellow rocks on the walls. The first one can be found after defeating the opponents, jumping higher and constructing a catapult. The ore (1/5) is on the right - all you need to do is shoot it.

Free the four birds from cages and you will be rewarded

Go higher, use the torch to blow the object. Behind it you will see another ore (2/5). Jump to the left: there is a bird cage (1/4). Open it. Now go to the right. There you will see another ore (3/5) and a bird cage (2/4).

Fix the elevator and it will bring you a vehicle token

Go back down. Jump on the elevator on the right side, near the chasm, before using the cart. Take the chest, place it below and fix the elevator. It will ride up and bring you a vehicle token: Steadfast. After using the cart: destroy the ore on the wall (4/5). You will see a bird cage (3/4) on the right side, on the last rock sticking from the water.

You must have a farmer disguise to be able to fly to the last secrets

The last bird cage (4/4) can be found at the top, before the cabin. In order to collect the last ore you must build a catapult and use it to get to the right. There you can use the kitchen available in farmer disguise and reach the final ore (5/5). There, at the top, you will also find a red brick.
