How to complete the game in 100%? | Tips LEGO City: Undercover Guide

You can check your progress in the game's menu but also on the computer's screen in the police station

In order to complete the game in 100% you must fulfill a few requirements:

1. Complete the campaign,
2. Find all secrets,
3. Buy all vehicles, characters and bricks.

There are five types of secrets to collect. They are: Red bricks, Gold bricks, disguises/characters, vehicles (cars, helicopters, bikes). Secrets are collected during missions and in free play. Super Bricks aren't required to complete the game and they aren't presented in any of the statistics.

When you complete the game a statue will appear in the city. This statue gives you unlimited amount of Studs.

For completing the game you unlock a big statue, representing you, in the city that gives you unlimited amount of Studs. You also unlock a Red brick that changes your character into a giant.

Red bricks

In total, there are 40 Red bricks to collect. Each location played in free play mode has one brick of that type. 15 of them is found during the campaign missions. When you start the game you receive 3 Red bricks and 1 is received when your progress is at 100%.

You should focus on collecting Red bricks because they unlock special "cheats" (menu -> Extras) - thanks to them the gameplay as well as collecting other secrets and completing challenges becomes much easier.

Gold bricks

There are 450 Gold bricks to collect. However, you shouldn't worry about that number because the bricks are easy to collect.

1. You get 379 bricks by completing all challenges (you can see your progress when you look at the map - the progress is presented globally as well as displayed by locations).
2. You get 45 bricks by fully completing main missions. You get one brick for: completing a mission, collecting all police shields in a given level (4), by getting Hero status in each of the levels which means you have to collect a required number of Studs.
3. You can find 10 bricks hidden in the police station (their locations can be found in the secrets descriptions).
4. You can buy 16 bricks with Studs in the shop. That shop can be found in the police station's basements. Prices for each brick start at 300 000 Studs and they rise by 100 000 every time when you buy a brick which means that you have to spend a few dozens of millions of Studs if you want to have all bricks.

Vehicles

You need to collect 120 vehicles if you want to have 100%. You can find 2 in each mission which gives you 30 vehicles from all missions. In free play they are found as tokens, however, they are rather rare. You can also get vehicles by completing challenges and activities:

1. most of the super builds
2. Vehicle Robbers challenges,
3. Vehicle Robbery challenges,
4. Races.

Disguises / characters

If you want to complete the entire game you must collect 305 disguises / characters. You must also buy them all. You can find 2 in each mission which means that you can get 30 in all of them. Most of the disguises are found as tokens hidden in locations that appear after meeting certain requirements (usually by destroying certain objects or painting them). You can also get disguises for:

1. Some super builds (usually you get vehicles, only some of them reward you with a disguise),
2. Freerun challenges,
3. Building disguise booths,
4. 1 disguise for finding all secret police shields hidden in the game's world (Super Wrestler),
5. 1 disguise for finding all Rex's secret graffiti hidden in the game's world (Pop Star),
6. 15 disguises for completing all challenges (1 per each type, this also includes unlocked metro stations, however, super builds are not counted here).
