Basic information about the trophy

Your task is to "catch" the mysterious object by using the telescope in the hero's cabin. However, you will be able to do this only after you have met the requirements described on this page. You will be able to fish out the mysterious item only in the New Game+ mode, i.e. after you have completed the game (at least once).

Step 1 - Find a note in Act 2

When you play Act 2 of the game (The Hunt), you must be progress enough to solve the puzzle with the clock and unlock the passage to the next areas.

During further exploration you will reach the entrance to the ventilation shaft. Crouch and squeeze through the ventilation tunnel. The shaft has two optional routes. Try to stay with the left walls to reach the closed room.

Here, you can find a note left on the bed - this is the Mysterious Item.

Step 2 - Finish the game and select New Game+ mode

When you have finished the game, return to the main menu and select New Game+. Once you've started playing, you'll reach the hero's cabin again. There, you'll find all the secrets you've collected - including the mysterious note.

Step 3 - Read the note

Note is displayed on the upper level of the hero's cabin (together with other mysterious items).

Interact with the note to get a closer look at it. The most important element is its upper right corner (check the above picture), because it is a hint to solve the puzzle.

Step 4 - Catch the mysterious object

Approach the telescope and position the camera in the position that was drawn on the note. You must observe the horizon.

Hold the zoom button for exactly 42 seconds. A drifting mysterious object will appear on the water. You have to fish it out to get the achievement.
