Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov Operation Kursk K-141 Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

Get out from the sick bay

Talk with doctor Bakatin. Try to get medical file lying next to Milena (on the right), but the doctor says the files are confidential. Try to leave - the doctor says that Milena must rest. Look at the sink on the left, then talk with Bakatin again. Ask him about water, when he turns back to Milena, look at medical file. After another conversation, try to exit the sick bay. When the doctor once again turns back to you, throw a tweezers (taken from the drawer in Milena's quarter) at him. Leave the place and go to your quarter. Try to exit, you will hear knocking.

After dialogue with doctor (he will get Milena a medicine) and first officer, go to sailors quarters. Look at the books on the left bottom capsule, take a key card.

Leave the place and go to sick bay - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Leave the place and go to sick bay. Doctor is not here, so take a wound powder (on the right, next to the Gerasimov) and a scalpel lying next to the stethoscope on the table on the left.

Investigate the crime scene

Now go to the crime scene - air treatment room. Talk with the sailor Gluschakov and then, when he leaves, pick up a jacket button from the floor (unconscious Osip had this button in his hand).

Examine broken gas canister (PPM) - you can take fingerprints from it, but you need some tools - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Examine broken gas canister (PPM) - you can take fingerprints from it, but you need some tools.

Go to weapons control room. Open the metal locker (the one which is the closest to the hatch) - this time the toolbox is open, so take from it pliers and a sticky tape.

Then go to leisure room and take a small rubberband from the table next to the toilet door - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Then go to leisure room and take a small rubberband from the table next to the toilet door.

Go to air treatment. You need a brush - use scalpel taken from sick bay on Milena and then use rubberband on hair. Pour wound powder on the broken gas canister, use the brush on canister and take the fingerprints with sticky tape. You need to put the fingerprints on something black (to make them visible), so use scalpel on fake ID card to cut an ID card cover. Then just click on the broken gas canister (you don't need to use the ID card cover on the canister, it's enough to have the cover in the inventory to get fingerprints).

Get Osip Gerasimov's fingerprint

Leave the crime scene and go to sailors quarters where look at the right drawer under the left capsule (drawer of capsule 3). You will find the old circuit board, the same one that Milena removed from the computer in the weapons control room. Take fingerprints from the board, the same way as before: powder on the board, brush on the powdered board, and then use sticky tape on the board. Finally, use the board on Milena, you will get Gerasimov's fingerprint.

Before you leave, hide the board inside the same drawer it was earlier, otherwise Milena doesnt want to leave the room - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Before you leave, hide the board inside the same drawer it was earlier, otherwise Milena doesn't want to leave the room. If you leave before getting the fingerprint, you need to repeat the whole action with the board (powder, brush and tape).

Get Korabelnikov's fingerprint

Now you need to get Korabelnikov's fingerprint. Go near his door. Try to get in, he's inside.

Go to sailors quarters and look at the posters on the left wall - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Go to sailors quarters and look at the posters on the left wall. Take from the posters a piece of duck tape. From the upper right capsule take a balalaika. Go back near Korabelnikov's door.

Use the duck tape on the door, then hide behind the hatch to the next sector (the door next to the weapons officer's quarter). Use balalaika on Korabelnikov's door. You need to do this several times.

When Korabelnikow leaves his quarter and the hallway, get inside his room - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

When Korabelnikow leaves his quarter and the hallway, get inside his room. Take clothes hanger lying on the bed. From the desk take a butter knife (near the plate) and piggy bank.

Torn note

Open the desk's drawer and get out pieces of paper (notes). It's a puzzle, you need to match pieces of the torn note to read it (it's a name list). Drag pieces into the arrows on the bottom of the screen to set them in the right positions. Connect the pieces by moving them close to each other. When they are connected well, you can't separate them. The right setting is on the screenshot below.

Then look at the ventilation (on the left) - something is behind it - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Then look at the ventilation (on the left) - something is behind it. Use the butter knife on the piggy bank, you will get a coin. Use this coin to remove the capping. Look inside the pipe, there is a small box, but it's too far for Milena to reach (try to do this). Connect the hanger with shoelace taken from the capsule in the sailors quarters. You will get a hook. Use it to reach the small box.

Use it on Milena to open. Inside you will find: a gun, ammunition, night vision device and military phone. Pour powder onto the ammunition, use brush with the ammunition and then take fingerprint by using a sticky tape. Use this ammunition on Milena, you will get a Korabelnikov's fingerprint. Then, put everything back to the box, put the box inside the pipe, and use the capping on the pipe (otherwise Milena won't leave this place). Now you can leave the quarter.

Get Sobolev's fingerprint

Go to first officer's quarter. The door will be closed, so open it by using the keycard (taken from sailors quarters). Open the desk's drawer, take an empty page of paper. Pour the powder onto it, then use the brush and the sticky tape on it. Use the page on Milena. You will get Sobolev's fingerprint.

Comparing all fingerprints

Go back to Milena's quarter. Something is different. The medicine is on the locker on the left (you can take it). Put one of the fingerprints on the desk. It will appear a puzzle with all 24 fingerprints. You need to find the 3 ones you already have. Move them from the inventory to the screen with the puzzle and check up if it's the right one (LPM).

So: Korabelnikovs fingerprint is the last in the second row, Sobolevs is the first in the third row, and Gerasimovs is the fourth in the third row - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

So: Korabelnikov's fingerprint is the last in the second row, Sobolev's is the first in the third row, and Gerasimov's is the fourth in the third row. You need also doctor's and captain's fingerprints.

Get fingerprints from the captain and the doctor

To get doctor's fingerprint go to the sick bay. Use the powder on the stethoscope (medical equipment on the left side of the room), then use the brush and the sticky tape. Click LPM on the stethoscope. A fingerprint of dr. Bakatin will appear in the inventory. You can take also a package of test strips, even if it won't be probably useful at all.

Now go on the bridge. On the table is a copy of sailing orders which certainly captain has touched. Steal it when all men will turn back (Milena will say that they are focused on the navigation instruments). Go to your quarter. Use the powder, brush and sticky tape on the copy, then use the copy on Milena. You will get fingerprint of captain Vladin.

Comparing another fingerprints

Put it on the table and find both fingerprints (just like you did before): the one of the captain is first in the second row, the doctors is the sixth in the same row - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Put it on the table and find both fingerprints (just like you did before): the one of the captain is first in the second row, the doctor's is the sixth in the same row.

Find Sobolev

Go again to the bridge. Captain is calling first officer. Go to weapons officer's quarter, once again take a small box from the hideout in the ventilation pipe (use the coin on the capping, then use the hook to pull out the box).

Use the box on Milena and call to Bobrov by using the military phone (use the phone on Milena) - Chapter 3 - The murder of Osip Gerasimov - Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Use the box on Milena and call to Bobrov by using the military phone (use the phone on Milena). Put everything back into the box and hide the box into the pipe, use the capping on the pipe.

Then go to weapons control, where you meet Sobolev. If you use the phone earlier you need to repeat the whole action even if Milena doesn't want to call - otherwise Sobolev won't appear in the weapons control.
