An Act of Piracy | Walkthrough Just Cause 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
The mission starts with the usual cutscene, during which you will learn that you can get the resources that can be used to treat Mario, but first you will have to steal a special, modified tank. After the cutscene ends, you will learn about the whereabouts of the vehicle. Enter the nearby plane and fly towards the indicated marker.
When you arrive near the convoy, locate the mentioned tank. Pay attention to the teal-like glow, which appears from time to time. It's one of the various modifications to the tank, giving it the ability to coat itself with a bavarium shield, absorbing all the damage done to the tank. Fortunately for you, the shield can remain active for a few seconds and then it needs a short while to recharge.
Wait for the shield to disappear and then attach yourself to the tank, get closer and enter the vehicle. A tooltip will appear on the screen, showing the button responsible for activating the shield - it absorbs al the damage, but it lasts only a few seconds, so you should think twice before turning it on. It's useful when an enemy tank approaches from the side, or when a helicopter prepares for an attack - when it happens, use the shield and storm forward.
From the moment you've entered the tank you shouldn't focus too much on the enemies - they will be coming at you without end, and despite the fact that the tank is powerful, it's not invulnerable. You have a long trip ahead of you (marked by yellow arrows), indicated by the marker - the tank, obviously, has to get there in one piece. If it's destroyed, you will have to repeat from a checkpoint - there's a number of them, so it's not that big of a problem.
After reaching the destination point, you will have to do one last thing - park the tank on top of a transport ship. Aim carefully and drive slowly, as you really don't want to crash the vehicle into the water after all that hard work. As soon as the tank enters the boat, a cutscene will initiate and the mission will be over.
